We are straying this off a bit, but I believe they do. For instance Metroplex MINI just had there Holiday Fun Run through Waco on December 30th and some 20+ Houston people came up for the drive I believe.

Looked like fun!

 

OK, now I think I understand, my ask mini person confused me too. They said 1/3 and now I see that must mean 3rd week which is more consistent with what my MA had told me. Thanks.

I'm still "on order", too... but I was told that January 8th was the last date to make any changes to my order because it was going to go into production the following week. So, one can hope... maybe week 3 or 4?

When I called today they told me 1/3 and I am interpreting this as the 3rd week in January since today is the 5th.

 

I ordered my MC BRG/W today at international autos. Cant wait too get a VIN or production number so I can log into the owners launge to track my MINI.

 

you will get a production number first, and that will let you log into the mini lounge, for what though I don't know. Right now I'm thinking there would be more action watching the grass grow, and there is about the same chance that my grass might form and spell out my vin...

Patience is a virtue so I'm told. A virtue I think we (those who have ordered) will be getting the opportunity to exercise....
or you can be obscessed like many of us (including me) and constantly check your order status and spend far too much time here looking for every little bit of info. There could be worse things I suppose.

 

I'm glad to hear it's I'm not the only one doing that.

I don't even HAVE an order status yet. I won't get a production group until the SatNav and automatic S are available for the dealer to put in... end of the month, so I'm told. THEN the wait really begins!

I'm surprised the Audio Package doesn't show "pushed back" status on the MINIusa website yet. I'm hoping they will be able to get it in for March production after all. I'd really prefer that to the Hi-Fi Stereo alone.

 

You can track order status with that, and get the VIN when it is available.

Weird though that some have ordered and not gotten a production number. I walked out of the dealer with my number. We went through the options, I gave her the deposit check, she went and entered it in the system, came back with a "Vehicle Inquiry Report" with a production number, order status 112.

Ah, well, I just realized if there are any options holding things up for order entry, that would be a good reason.

What is the order they build these MINI's

I called earlier they said second week production.. My MA just e-mailed me with a status update.. I am now in status 150 and its in line for painting!

Good for you! My order was at least two weeks behind you, so either I have two more weeks to wait, or maybe my car is in with this batch of reds? That's what I'll tell myself - yeah, its getting painted right now...

Anybody else fall asleep at night by counting coopers?

So then it seems that production takes more than a week...

...then then the question is do you determine your production week when the car starts down the assembaly line? Or when it's finished?

Not that it's that impoprtant... but I vote for when production starts . So Pez... you be be week #1!

Argh! I am still waiting for mine to change. As long as there appears to be progress the waiting isn't so bad.

Everyone posting that their status changed got me excited that maybe mune changed as well, but alas no luck here. Hopefully I will join your ranks soon.

 

No change at the web site but a quick call revealed a status of:
'Production complete - awaiting release to carrier'

 

salesman says no change. I'm on Mini-hold, stuck between floors listening to elevator music..
