I'm at a very good height now, but it was a lot of trial and error to get it right. Rebuild every 15k is a bit of an overkill, but then again, that's 15k TRACK miles.
It's really good to have you/your car here in this forum. Your build really inspires me.
I checked my order sheet, springs are 8" long, guess same as ohlins springs. xxx/xxx is somewhere in the middle of tsw kw v3(400) and kw clubsport(450).
BTW,
I'm thinking to get CAE shifter, but where did you move sport button and dsc button to? Looks like I need to cut the center plastic trim as well as the buttons.(but I need that two tiny ball like things on track really. Haha) thx again for your valuable info/build!

Ah ok. I'm sure there are a few better builds out there than me as far as engine's go, but I try to do what I can when I have time.

The buttons I put infront of the shifter. It's a bit loose, but I can still get to them when I go to the track. I don't know what page it is, but you can find the photos I took of me trimming my center console to accommodate the shifter and I had it wrapped by JPM Coachworks who did an amazing job on the stitching.

StopTech clearance. It pushed the wheels out way too much that when I hit hard dips on freeways or anywhere in general that doesn't have even surface it would destroy my wheel arches and pop it off my front bumper. Just a headache at the end of the day. As much as I loved them, my StopTech's are never going to go, wheels are always going to be interchangeable.

Sadly CCW doesn't do custom anodized red anymore, so I had to go with their brushed silver on my D110's, if it weren't for that, I'd have the same finish as my 2nd set of Classics.
Send those wheels out to an anodizing shop?

^Discussed this already.

Don't want some shop to ruin the finish if they can't do it right. I've had a shop redo my CE28N in gold and though it was nice, it didn't come out as great as I wanted it to. I eventually sold the wheels, but to this day I still hate the finish on them.

I'd rather keep them as is. If CCW offered anodizing in the same red finish, then I'd gladly send them the faces again, but they don't, only in some candy gloss red, which I really dislike. I'm really happy with the wheels, so I have no problem keeping them the way they look.

I've already told the wife that these 2 sets of wheels are keepers. I've tasted the Volk rainbow and the TE37's look great in the grey finish on my MINI and the CCW's really look nice infront of the brakes, so I'm content.

lol. Well, it's been close to 2 months and I haven't thought about any other wheels, so I'm doing good

The RE-30s though....I was looking pretty much right after I bought them.

Nice job (belated )!

Edit: Just got an ok from the wife to get the exhaust in the spring. So it's looking like a probable March 2015 order instead of a March 2016 order.

You're build continues to define 'awesome'. I love the details that you go through, even the latest pic across the 'compact' parking spots. The pic shows how well the brakes fill up the wheels, car looks great.

That is correct, 35. Track tires are 45.

Unrelated, if someone is interested in some LM20's, here's your chance :D

I have used this website before to buy wheels. It's helped me source my Volks before, so it can be beneficial for others looking to catch a deal on some Volks.

Do you have any in-cabin booming issue with certain rpm range? and.. Do you think it will bring cel issue if I go full exhaust without ecu tune?

Thanks!

any dp back system will cause a cel. there is a cat/decat option, you just have to let them know which you want to go with.

No real issues with in-cabin "boom" issues. unless you're in 4th gear and you'll looming around 1k rpms, which is sillie.

Well, sitting in my MINI for the next 2hrs or so as I wait for my corner balance alignment over at West End Alignment in Gardena, CA.

I really should be at work, but eh, it's Friday, I'll just stay late at work to "make up the hours"

I just did the same thing yesterday and today at Detroit Tuned. Total time was around 3hrs in the car between the 2 alignments and corner balancing. There are definitely worse places to be sitting

3hrs spanning 2 days??? The shop I took it to does everything by hand, nothing digital except the scales to calculate the weights. Pros...

The 2 days included installing new coilovers, camber plates, control arms, rear trailing arm bushings, rear sway bar, adjustable end links and Mini DRL fog lights. We also spent a lot of time adjusting the ride height.

They did everything by hand as well except for the scales while I sat in the car.

I attached the final weights with me in the car.
