Intake on Justa?

Anyone have thoughts on putting an aftermarket intake like a K&N or DDMworks on a Justa?
I have an '09 Justa and i'm working on mainly cosmetic upgrades and now I think it might be time to get just a bit more performance out of the car. I know that I won't see much of a noticeable increase in power but... is it a complete waste of time/money?
If anyone has installed one of these intakes if you could post pix it would be great too.
thanks Dave

The Ddm dynos at an 8ft lbs of torque increase which really helps. Also gives it a more throaty growl.

For the Justa, it's about the best you can get.

I just installed the DDM on my Cooper and it is what this car needed. It feels a little more relaxed in the acceptation BUT it sounds fantastic. Well worth the money. Its like I am driving a 1978 MGB, sounds like an old school sports car. Not annoying at cruise power either.

Still wondering what kind of intake I want to put on Molly, I did find this though, think I'll go this route for now...

I made my own VIP style https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-for-25-a.html. I couldn't really feel any performance increase. The sound was entertaining at low speeds but when the revs got above about 5000rpm it was a little annoying. I eventually removed it and went back to stock. If I was going to do another, I'd make sure I got some performance increase to compensate for the noise.

I made my own for about $80 or so.

12" long silicone tube (2.5" I believe), aluminum "joiner pipe (about 3" long) and a 2.5" AEM dryflow filter. Then a small bit of ductwork from the factory pipe to the filter. The silicone pipe NEVER gets hot so there is no heat soak. Works GREAT!

are you driving over 5000 rpm for extended periods of time of the sound to be annoying?

I'm not trying to start a debate or dissuade anyone from buying an aftermarket intake. I seldom drive above 5000rpm but it is sometimes necessary when rowing thru the gears on a freeway on ramp and I found the extra noise (with no apparent benefit) annoying. The only intake that I'm aware of for the justa that makes a performance claim is the DDM that WMW dynoed and got an 8% increase in torque. I'm not sure what 8% would mean to me but that might actually be worth a little extra noise.
