Capt......If you look at my signature, my order was on 9/08 then order number secured on 9/10. It started production on 9/28. Mine is a JCW and it is thought that this is what held it up timewise, but this should give you a little idea as to how long it will take to get to the production point. That's all I know for now.

So, now the OL says Clubby is at the VDC, estimated delivery date of 10/02/10. I'm guessing that's the day it'll show up. Also guessing I won't be taking delivery till Monday

866-ASK-MINI says Clubby is in transit

OL gives me the same est. delivery date 10/02/10 and ASK-MINI says it is waiting at the port for a shipping vessel.

I wonder if "delivery date" is the day it ships. Although I guess your car could make it out to you in less than a day.

There's such a range: in my case ol says im prepared for production, automated askmini says en route to port of exit and live askmini says at the dock waiting for presumably the mid month Toledo.

Congrads jolagues!! Looks like a great spec'd car, especially the visual boost. Now I'm starting to wonder if my MA missed the Smartphone Prep option She swore BT was the only option available for phones now...*sigh*

thirdrail: the OL was days behind for the entire production process. Automated is usually behind by 24-48 hours as well. Live person is generally always right That is until you get to the final last days, then the OL is the most correct! But it's much easier to just track the ship and then talk to your MA, although that's just because some of us are impatient and can't wait for the OL to update

I dont have my snap in adapter yet so cant truly test the smart phone prep but the phone portion of the iPhone does not work through the USB interface I have to use bluetooth for the phone. I am hoping the snap in adapter will do it through the connector I hate running bluetooth all day but am to lazy to turn it on and off all the time.

Visual boost and MINI Connect/NAV include the smartphone prep. I dont think you can get it without the screen now.

Congrats! Take good care of that MINI...it is my understanding that there were only a limited number of cars fitted with Visual Boost for the US. Car looks sharp!

Ok you big dummy, what did you get? https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...s/eek2.gifJust kidding on the first part. Congratulations. Did you get the one at the dealers, or did you just up and order one? Mine's in the paint shop today, they say. I promised myself that I wouldn't get crazy about this, afterall I'm an old guy to you young'uns, but I'm doing it.

JCW666: I can't remember, did, or have you received your JCW yet? As I noted on my signature, mine is in the paint shop today. They're still looking at Oct. 5th for a compettion date, and I'm hoping for sooner and maybe make a cargo boat next week. As I've said so many times during this process so far, "KTO ZNIYOO" Russian for who knows.

It's ok, we all say this and then we all make the shift to nuts. I'm literally bouncing in my seat wondering if I'll get Clubby tomorrow...raaahhhh

Wahoo, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've been perfectly sane and rational throughout this process. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go calculate the distance in nautical miles on a great circle route from Golfo de Papagayo to Port Hueneme, and take into account the wind speed and direction, along with sea state...

lies. Although you have been a bit better then...some of us...ahem...

While we're pointing fingers, I'd like to point out Orm...he was the one stalking the dang WWL site. It crashed on me twice, and two minutes later, there's Orm saying "status change!"

hahahahahaha
And the BEST part is, once you DO take possession, you have to deal with the letdown feeling inevitable to anything with great anticipation involved. It will be 100% minimum awesome, your MINI. But that anxiety to do something to it, having something in motion, waiting for something, won't go away. You'll just start MODDING.

Oh, and I got a new ship, somehow. It leaves Southampton tomorrow. It wasn't on the port logs a few days ago, but it's there now. As long as it's not pirates, I'm cool.

Nah man. People say that when owning/driving a MINI, that great feeling never goes away. But regardless, everytime I'll look at this car I'll remember that it took A LOT of work to get it: surviving a college engineering degree, graduating college, hunting down a job, and working my *** off all summer at a stupid, mindless job before starting my real one, instead of relaxing all summer. This car is the product of hard work. And as much as I've complained along the way, the payoff will never let me down, and let me tell you: I will NEVER stop smiling when I think of this

Oh and I waited over a month for a stinking car...what was I thinking

Boats have a tendency to just pop up like that. Mine did too. Course, mine disappeared often too

I should have been more specific. I meant the feeling of anticipation. It's an addictive vibe.

No you WILL live your MINI. this is my second one. The MINI experience was emotionally rewarding enough that we're coming back for another one!

Wahoo: hahaha. "Lock up your daughter ships, hide your figurehead ladies, and run for your lives." I am a ship stalker, yeah. I have too much time on my hands and imagination.

Hemisedan: Nice to see you've come out of the closet and joined us others. It feels good doesn't it? Still for some reason I don't expect you to be posting status updates or the lack of them every 2 minutes.

Thirdrail: But WHY would I ever be let down by the Mini (post #671)? And it doesn't matter which one (Owners' Lounge, ASK-MINI live/automated, WWL) is delayed you are still gonna check them out every 5 minutes anyways, right (related to post #657)?

Perfectly sane and rational Dodgy:

Jolagues: You lucky... Pics please.
