Well, marinetraffic.com lies. And probably kills kittens in the process. It claims Tamesis was due to dock 09-28 at 10:00(UTC). It obviously is still floating in the ocean. Looks like it really will be docking tomorrow

AbiesLee: that is RECORD time I think for taking delivery on an order. The MINI gods were obviously on your side. You and Orm both had really quick turnarounds with going from order to production. Lucky you!

Just got off the phone with Miniusa, Owners Lounge AGAIN! Now, I ask, can I believe them this time? Yesterday I called to a real person twice. Both times they could NOT find any information on my JCW going into production.

Today, I talk with the nice lady and she informs me that my Lil Guy has just started the production process and it will take approximately 6 working days. If this is true, I'm ecstatic, if not, I'm peeved, so who knows. Kto zniyate! That's Russian for all you Americans. So let's hope. So, here is how it all started.
Ordered; 9/08
Scheducled for production: 9/10
Started production: 9/28 I hope.

 

Where in the Middle East are you? I've tried ordering from both Saudi Arabian and Bahraini dealers, but none have info on custom orders nor production dates!

 

6 days? Production is usually 7-9...generally being 8. Maybe you started two days ago!! Either way, congrads!! Try calling the automated line in the next few days, it'll give you a finish date. CONGRADS! Now the fun part beings

I'm from Sultanate of Oman .. hahahaha u have to work hard on it so u can make custome order .. For me, as the BRAND MANAGER in our dealer said that he didnt know about the faceleft 2011 mini cooper until i told him!!!!!! i was fighting with them regarding my car coze since the day i received the car i had probs every 2 months i face a new prob .. completed 10 months with the last 2 probs AC is cutting off with bad smell and Speackers making noise .. i faught with them to give me a new car more than 1 month until i successfully made it .. while fighting they told we didnt find the probs but we replaced the parts .. oh ya i forgot one more prob which is in the car since i bought it car lights inside n outside r blinking .. anyways i was trying with the brand manager to tell me if there is a faceleft but i couldnt until UK & German official websites updated then straight a way i went to the dealer n i gave a few nice words they were searching for it .. n i started building my 2011 jcw everyday searching the net for hours i didnt get any info from them .. they didnt tell me anything at all about whats new, they were always saying nothing new .. but its all saved in my brain because of the dealer n the way of dealing with customer .. if u need any help just tell me i will tell u everything

 

My dealer used their next available slot (a car that they had already ordered and then customized it to my specs) so that I would get the car as soon as possible.

Orm: during some stealth searching of past threads, seems once you get the Customs 00:00:00 notice, your car is off later that day. Or maybe we really aren't due in till tomorrow. Either way...our MINIs are US citizens now
