I plan on getting White Silver or Ice Blue when they become available later in the year.

 

Ordered my 2011 Laser Blue Clubman S on 8/15. Its in port now, should be in Omaha in 4-10 days, and in my garage in Lincoln shortly after that. I've attached a picture, hopefully that turns out.

 

I was notified that my 2011 Clubman S hit the dealer this afternoon. Happy to hear it is in town and can't wait to pick it up on the 17th!

Talked with *** in Schaumburg today. Had to ask what prices I was going to be paying. The new prices on the configurator, or what she had me billed out for. Hey, I'm saving another $500. Can't believe that the publish free N/C Chili Red color line for JCW's then now its a $250. extra.

Contacted Mini Lounge and got of find out that my Lil Guy isn't scheduled for production yet. Talked with Maria again and she said that I would probably get notice on Monday that it is scheduled for 9/20 or so. Hey, starting to get excited.

No real surprises on the configurator really. A couple of prices are different, but didn't affect me according to Maria. Anyway, nice to have a forum like this to cry on.

The owners lounge information was very slow to get updated. The dealer can get more up to date info. By the time it said mine was scheduled, it was already done and wating to get loaded on the boat.

 

Black 'n Blue: Interesting. She was the one that told me to go on line to get the updated information. But in saying all that, it would make sense that the dealer would have more direct information into the plant.

I've found the automated tracking via 866-ASK-MINI to be the most up-to-date. The online configurator is at least a day or so behind. This is exactly as described in the tracking threads. Here's the one I've been using that was updated by kiricks earlier this year:

I know my car is now in port waiting for a boat--I keep searching to see if it's VIN comes up on WWL track and trace but no luck. There's a ship leaving on Wednesday that I'm hoping it'll catch.

Am I missing any other ways to try to stay sane (or "obsessed" as my wife likes to call it) while waiting for my MINI?

 

Chakram: Got it right now, that's a really nice catalog, too made we can't get hard copies at the dealers of it. I doubt if they'll do a JCW one, for many reasons.

wahoo_shoe: Guess what? I just did what you were trying to do with yours last week. Add an option. With all the Black and Red, I decided to go with the Red leather with Black cloth to bring out even more of the Black and Red. I've debated on this for a while now, and just thought that I couldn't afford the option. Well, my intentions are to keep this car for a long time, so why not get it exactly like I want it. Now we'll see if Maria can add it. She wasn't all that excited about catching the order and adding this. She also has to delete the Rooster Red color line and add back the Carbon Black color line. The Rooster Red and Chili Red are slightly different, plus I don't need any more Red inside the car.

Oh yes all, this is a JCW Hardtop, not Clubby, not that I have anything against the Clubman, but it will be just me in the car 95% of the time, so I don't need the space.

I would love to order mine, but I want NAV/MINI Connect. Why couldn't something like green seats be delayed lol. I hope Nov builds, but no one seems to know anything.

 

866-ASK-MINI is definitely the best source of up to date info. You can call them between 9am-9pmEST and get either an automatic recording (for many, it will just say "your car is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date", especially close to your production week). I suppose that phrase is "we don't have a finished date". Then, once it starts production it will change to "your car has begun production with an estimated completion date of ____". Then you'll know your baby's birthday! This is the step I'm at, so I don't know what comes next.
What's even better is you can ask for a human being and they'll tell you exactly what's going on at that very minute. I called last night right before closing and found out I'm in the body shop right now being put together, and it should enter paint sometime today The people there are REALLY friendly and I was always a bit concerned about looking neurotic, but they know we love the cars and they want to help. Totally cool feature

 

hehehehe I just called the automated line. It says "Your vehicle is now in the Body Shop, estimated date of completion blahblahblah"

 

Congrats! Next they'll let you know it's in the paint shop. Mine was done within a day or two of that.

My 2011 Midnight Black JCW with Chili Red roof & mirrir, Chili Red Color Line, Red leather & Black cloth seats, Black Challenge Wheels, Cold Package (heated fron seats, heated mirrors and washer jets and power folding mirrorsH&K sound system, Xenon's with Adaptive headlights, adaptive light control, Variable Light Control, Retractible headlight washers, Rear Fog Lights,Auto dimming rear mirror, Universal Garage Door Opener and Rain sensor & auto headlights, plus Sports Suspension. And, oh yes, CO2 relevangt vehicles. Have no ideal what that is.


That's everything that is on my Order Inquiry Report from my dealer. Boy there looks like alot of options, and all, on there. Oh I almost forgot, there is a MACO and Training Service Fee at no charge. Does this look like most of you guys, and gals order? Kind of mind boggling what has been ordered. Of course the MSRP is mind boggling from the last new car that I personally ordered to built by a factory. That was a 1969 Doge Charger 500 440ci 6-Pak with 4:10 Dana Super Track Pak. That was $3995.00 then. No, the decimal point is in the right place.

Was anyone able to use the Costco program for Socal (orange county area) to order an MCS. I just used their website and they have only clubman and jcw models for 2011. No MCS :(

If you were able to use Costco to order an MCS, how much of a deal did you get? Thanks

 

How much is it showing for Clubman versus ClubmanS? My dealer just face the same for a justa on any line, S on any line, and JCW on any line

 

Are you also in Orange County? I'm not sure I understand your questions, I selected 2011 on the Costco menu and it has only Clubman (S edition also) and JCW. Did your dealer apply the $1k off msrp on any model?

 

The better question is, how much is the ClubmanS discount?

I'm not an expert in this area, but what was said on Motoringfile is that in the USA the system is different from that of Europe and Great Britain. And, Canada's sytems are patterned after that of Great Britain. Now what that is, I haven't a clue, as I still can't change the time on a DVD or VCR recorder.
