The ride height.

It needs to be an inch lower.

Not really, considering most tires are made to go to 30,000 mi. or more.

I've got 10,000 on my 16" continental conti pro's and they were rotated at 7500. Seems they should make it at least to 20,000 by the looks of them.

what are the specs of the tires?

I'm used to Z-rated summer tires with a treadwear of 140

No way.... my gf bought a car about 3 weeks ago and she's pushing on 3k miles right now. Tires should definately last more than 12k miles.

On two of our pre-MINI family vehicles, I ran Toyo 800's. Went through 4 sets of them and never got less that 100K on any. I've got Toyos on the MINI but it will be a while yet to see. Using up a tire in only 12 to 20K miles is not something I would be willing to put up with. As for run flats, someone else can enjoy those.

The better performance a tire has means it won't last as long. Some people are satisfied with 100,000mile tires, to others, they are just scary.

I'm not expecting my Bridgestone RE01Rs to last more than 15,000, but the stock tires were looking fine at 14,000.... maybe 10k left in their cycle. I just got fed up with them, however.

So, what you are saying is that there needs to be an adjustment to the current Expectation vs. Reality quotient rule.

My Bridgestone RE-01Rs on the M3 look like they'll only last about 4K miles... lol.
Maybe it's the autocrossing...

Forgot to say... the windshield irritates me too... Sometimes, I can't see the stoplight because the windshield is too small and the rear view mirror feels like a huge blindspot.

that's very impressive. I put Bridgestone RE050A's on all my cars, but I'm worrisome about the MINI because it has no spare. I need to find a place to get steelies and stick it in my trunk. They're thin, shouldn't take up too much room.

I live in the hills, so I go through many twisties even going to the "local" supermarket (everything is far away).

OK, I guess that puts you in the 0.00001% group. For real people, 30K is typical for the average car.

I know. I know. It's an unreasonable wish. Still, wish it would have. I'm in my old Chevy van while wife is deciding whether we should save the car payment or go ahead and order Betsy II.

Mini bage over the horn/airbag that deforms if you use the horn.

Wet windows!

As with my '04 R50, and now my '07 R56S, what REALLY bugs me the most is water on the inside of the window when you have to roll down a window while its raining/snowing. When you roll it back up, water streaks all the way up on the inside of the window. I carry a small towel in the car just to wipe the water clean, but I shouldn't have to do anything. You'd think after building the MINI's for going on 9 years, this would have been dealt with. I attribute it to the fact MINIs have frameless windows. Oh yea, and THE COLD START B.S. on my R56S. After Classic MINI looking at it twice, they say there is no fix and not to worry. Good thing I lease my MINIs.

Far out, man ! Now, how do I convince the IRS and others of that ilk that I am not real and to please take me off their mailing list?

now that i had my mini for a few months, i can ***** with authority

1. seatbelt gong. especially if friends purposely don't latch it because they know it annoys me
2. rubber mats being pushed down towards the gas pedal
3. damn scion drivers staring and waving at me- wtf is with scion drivers? i cant get a wave from a mini driver to save my liver, yet dingdong scion drivers are waving like my car's on fire. i dont get it.
4. the radio controls. control should be simple. im not trying to kill neo and overtake the matrix
5. those stupid weighed ***** in my trunk that hold that little shade thing. come on. i whip around a corner like a bat out of hell and i need to hear *gonk gonk gonk*? epic fail!
