the seat belt ALWAYS gets stuck on the door trim when i pull to put it on, its like i need to ease it out every time....

i can't program the car to take dsc off and sport on everytime i start my car....

the armrest slides a lot...even tho ive gotten good at avoiding it....

everytime it rains and i open the door to get out, i just get a huge waterfall pouring on me....

the location of the window controls (coffee cups block them)....

the HUGE speedo, i dont need a reminder of how fast im going....

the hoodscoop keeps melting....

and lastly...hte damn sunroof wont open when its warm out....

but you knwo, this is small stuff...no big deal at all...

I thought this was supposed to be a very small car. Not sure how many cup holders they can put in the car.

You need an advanced degree in nuclear physics to understand how to operate the radio properly.

My Mini Coop is perfect just the way it is !!
Look at it this way: The Bentley next to my Mini in my family's garage is full of querky design flaws, but it is the little imperfections that makes these cars what they are!! Like the great Jeremy Clarkson once said, "If you want perfection, buy a Mercedes!" So there!!

Actually, now that I think about it, I can't STAND how the seat belts always manage to get stuck behind my seat.

I don't get the seatbelt thing. Mine has never gotten stuck. My seat is almost all the way back and my seatbelt buckle slider thing is adjusted so that the buckle is almost at the top when all the way retracted. When I get in the car I just reach over my shoulder and the buckle is right there. It pulls down and across with no hint of catching anything. Are you guys just not using the slider or what?

People obviously aren't reading the thread, the solution was mentioned ~50 times already...

This car is still the best car ive owned and u wouldnt want to hear my complaints of my other cars.
If you haven't already, go to the dealer and have them install the floor mat anchor for the driver's side. It will stop you from going crazy. I promise! S/b covered under warranty-mine was as they should have installed it before I took delivery but forgot.

Will they install one on the passenger side too? The people that ride with me must be holding on for dear life and pushing their feet into the floorboard which in turn shoves the mat into the dash I am constantly pulling it back down to where it should be.

I haven't got mine yet, but from the test drive, I hated the huge blind spot caused by the rear view mirror, and the fly by wire lag in the accelerator. Other than that, no complaints yet.

Sorry-I've been told there is no floor mat anchor for the passenger side. :(

One thing that drove me nuts....

The most expensive stereo available in my car sounded like absolute crap. So I had to tweak it to be able to stand driving the car. Shameful....Mini should do better.

do you mean when the car is switched off or when you close the door? there's a ZHUNK! noise whenever we close the doors, but i think that has to with the windows going up all the way to close the seal.

my contribution to the list is that i'm 4'11" (okay, more like 4'10" and a quarter). for me to be able to step on the clutch fully, i have to bring the seat aaaaaaaaaaaaaallll the way forward, which makes the rest of me feel like i'm too close to the steering wheel.

I'm 6'4", and I love that I have to move the seat forward a notch or two for my legs to be comfortable on the pedals. (true in the test drives, anyway... the Pacific Breeze is carrying my MINI through the Panama Canal this very night )

Coworkers: "You ordered a MINI? But... will you fit in it?!"
Me: "I actually have to move the seat forward."
Coworkers: "No way! I have to see this!"

Gong when the key's in the ignition and the door's open.
Huge rear-view mirror.
Inadequate stock stereo.
Have an '08 Cooper with RFTs--no spare mounting equipment included.

That's all that I can think of now.

i will wholeheartedly admit that my problem is more reflective of the fact that mom didn't give me flintstones vitamins when i was a kid versus any shortcoming of the car i absolutely adore.

when people say that the MINI is too small for them, i ask em what they think about the cockpit of a 3-series.
