Show us your rally lights!

I just want to get the creative juices flowing for my mini cooper S.

Any pictures of your R56 with rally headlights (size and number doesn't matter) Also if you could, include the brand!

Thank you ahead of time!

Thanks!

Not a 2ndGen, but here ya go:

4 Hella FF200
The Hella box indicates "For MINI Cooper (Not Cooper S)" I laugh in their general direction!

are the rally lights for good looks mostly or they help you see better. Where can you use them. are there any traffic rules how/where to use them. Just a bit confused why so many members pay close to 1K to have these installed.

Different states have different laws. But most states will not allow you to have more than four (4) lights on the front end LIT at the same time, while on road.

Yah. I got them for 2am to 3am Dragon runs. Too many LEOs out & about for a midnight run w/illegal lighting. They are also very nice to use on the Foothills Parkway (near the Dragon). They have definitely saved my butt more than once spotting large animals crossing the road. Friends refer to the lights as "Portable Daylight".

Very true. No more than 4 lights burning on the front of the vehicle in most states. Then again, you shouldn't have hi-beams on if there are cars in front of you anyway. If you see mine on, then I'm not paying attention, which is rare.

Yeah - we love those old British oil leaking classics....LOL!!! We actually have 2 Travellers - the other one is Snowberry White - she is more of the show car - 22K original miles. Good thing Mike knows how to work on them all...hehehehe

Driving Lights on a Cooper

I just installed these a few days ago so this is a good chance to share. These are the OEM lights with the grill from the JCW Aero kit for the MC. The job was pretty straightforward provided the right tools using instructions posted on Motoringfile. I must say its much more enjoyable to work on a new car than one with 100-200K+ miles on the clock, and it gives me an appreciation for how well MINIs are actually built.

Now, on to the next mod!

Love ur MCS. Looks like mine minus the Aero Kit and the driving lights. But I'm working on the lights.

I was wondering if any one knows if an after market HID kit work with the driving lights?
