Just Ordered My New MINI!

Well, in about 4-6 weeks I will be done paying $60 to fill up my tank every 4 days or so in my Xterra...

I just ordered my MINI Cooper S earlier this week and I couldn't be more excited for it to arrive! I've spent way too much time in this forum but it has helped me feel good about my purchase. I ordered my car from Morristown MINI...mainly due to all the positive feedback on there service department...and it's the closest dealership to me.

Here is what I ordered:

Lightning Blue, Black Roof/Mirrors, Black Bonnet stripes, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Sport Package, Xenons, Limited Slip Differential, Center Armrest, Brushed Alloy trim, Rear Fogs, Multi-function sport wheel, Ipod/USB adapter, and of course the 6 speed!

I plan on putting the JCW 18" black rims on as soon as I get my car along with my Thule roof rack. (If anyone's interested in buying my 4 Crown spokes and/or performance run-flats that come with the sport package let me know!)

MOTOR ON BABY!

Congrats! Waiting is evil! My MINI just went into the Scheduled for Production phase and I'm giddy like a kid at Christmas.

Luck219, we will have near identical cars!
Manish, I can't imagine why you wouldn't get DSC as it's a safety feature, but I'm a stickler for safety
Sgachco, why did you pay for the sports package if you didn't want the 17's that came with it? I also didn't want the 17s so I saved the bucks and bought the other package options ala carte. Saved about $400 I think. Every penny counts!

Congrats! Waiting even just the short month (at least half the time of most other cars) seems to take an eternity. I ordered mine March 29th, and I'm on Tagus right now headed over. Should hopefully have her by next weekend. I got a Laser Blue/Black and went spartan with her. Just the 17" w/all seasons (for the winter ), LSD and HIFI. I'll pay the $20 for an HID conversion myself instead of paying the $500 for the factory install . I bought the car for pure driving pleasure, and for it's simplicity. No expensive things that could possibly go wrong later like sun-roofs and heated seats and all that fancy stuff

i know, after thinking about it for a couple of days I called the salesman and told him to add it. and he said its too late the car is already in production. i contacted mini usa and they said the same thing. i plan on getting a set of blizzak snow tires for the winter just in case. hopefully that works out.

Nothing off MSRP...The DSC is nice to have in wet/snowy conditions...and the LSD will make dry conditions more fun!

I originally did the same thing because I was going to put the JCW suspension on and didn't want to pay for the sport suspension just to take it off and put on the JCW suspension...but the service tech said that if I delete the sport package I woudn't have the front and rear strut braces that come with the sport package. So, I decided to stick with the sport suspension for now and go from there. Regarding the 17's...I plan on selling the wheels/tires that come with the sport package...hopefully I can get some decent money for them...

Hi, looks like we may run into each other when we pick up our new minis. I just bought my new MINI at Morristown yesterday ! "OPEN ROAD "

I highly recommend if you are in the NJ ,NY area to buy your car from them. I dealt with Ed the Sales Manager and Magdalena Brancaccio. Two very knowledgeable people . Did I mention friendly. Mags helped me out on my first visit with my decision on radios and headliner.

Could not be happier mine is Chilli Red / Black roof Sports and Premium package plus some other stuff. Now for the long wait.
