went to test drive

Hello all,

I went to test drive today and she was 2007 MCS hardtop. I do not know what to say, but I only can say it was awesome. I was really happy while I was driving.

I am going to be ordering my 2008 MCS next couple of weeks later and her spec will be;

Pepper White Body Color (Body Color Roof/Mirrors)
DSC
Xenon Headlamps
Rear Fog Lamp
LSD
6 Speed Manual
16" Bridge-Spoke

Thanks all and have a great holidays.

Congrats and welcome to the club!!!

Very nice spec. Just one other thing you may want to consider though is the white turn signal option. Most regret not getting this, and on gorgeous PW especially, the yellow in the back is just not the greatest look IMO.

Happy Holidays

Congrats, on your test drive and I hope you will be with your MINI soon!! I want to test drive one before I buy one, but I doubt they'll let me (19), but my dad has one. I am ordering sometime next week, I hope . Congrats again .

May want to consider front fogs, you won't have a blank toggle switch then. I regret not getting the rear fog option for that reason.

I'm 20 and they let me test drive one without an issue. As a matter of fact my MA practically begged me to although I was already 100% set on ordering a MINI without ever having driven one. I doubt that one year will make a difference, so you shouldn't have any problems. Now when it comes to loaners, that's a different story...

Congrats to you as well on your imminent purchase!

MCS comes standard with front fogs.

But as glangford said, good decision on choosing the rears. It seems the recurring 3 options you see NAM'ers regret not getting are white turn signals, rear fog lights and the anthracite headliner (occasionally xenons and PDC as well, but not quite so much).

Thanks all

And I am going to add two more for my 2008 MCS. They are Interior Surface Piano Black and White Turn Signals because I think it will be just $350 more so it won't be bad at all

Pepper White Body Color (Body Color Roof/Mirrors)
Interior Surface Piano Black
White Turn Signals
Xenon Headlamps
Rear Fog Lamp
6 Speed Manual
16" Bridge-Spoke
LSD
DSC

Those are good enough to me I think

If they want your money they will let you test drive the car. Go in with the attitude that VW/Volvo/Whatever already let you drive their cars and now you want to drive the MINI before finalizing your decision. There should be no reason why they don't want you drive one unless they truly believe you are there because you had nothing better to do on your day off.

Good choices! Not to drive your MSRP up even further, but since you're adding the piano black trim I'd definitely consider the anthracite headliner.

It's gonna be a gorgeous MINI anyway though, so at this point you really can't go wrong.
