Help Dash Creaks 95% of the time

Is this common and do I have to live with it

I have stock 17 inch Wheels and no sport suspension. When driving down even very nice roads the dash creaks and clicks constantly. It literally never stops making noise. If i wiggle the wheel back and forth a little I can get it to creak without stopping. It sounds like lots of tiny little clicking rattles near the front of the dash close to the windshield. I know these cars rattle here and there but mine does that to but the constant noise is tough to ignore. I have one street that is the smoothest street in Orange County and if i keep the car straight without turning the wheel I can silence the interior

IS THIS HOW EVERY R56 DASH SOUNDS OR IS SOMETHING WRONG.

Maybe you can take it to the dealership and complain. New cars should not creak that much but old cars will.

They can hunt down the source of the creaks or rattles and try to tighten things up or put spacers in.

Take a new R56 for a test drive for comparison and see what difference there is.

I have finally gotten rid of 99% of the squeaks rattles and vibrations. Took alot of searching and some velcro but my MCS is now quiet to the point that I am not driven to distraction. Not perfect, but certainly within tolerance.

Couple of places to start...tach, speedo, secret compartment ( dlr fix available), side pod vents. I am headed out of town but can post more specifics if needed next week. One of my bigger rattles was in the foot well area on pass. side. It sounded like it was a dash rattle but it was coming from below... rolled in a piece of soft side velcro and it stopped.

dlr fix for secret compartment...just a couple of sponge pads but they seem to help

since it got cold, when i accelerate hard in 6th it makes a rattle when i am on throttle. Not a huge issue, i hope it stops when the spring comes.

I hate to say it, but I've gotten used to all my creaks/rattles. I almost find them melodious...

Mine creeks etc but It's nothing all it is is atleast mine, when its cold out I have the heat on and the dash is expanding because the heat is heating up the cold dash. And plastic expands heat/cold.

Try rotating the circular plastic plug on the dash.

I got the rattle at about 2k miles and figured it out at about 2.5k...which was the next day of that road trip.

Now that the weather is blow 30F just about every morning I have noticed that if you put the heat on tri level initially there is alot of creaking. Once the car is warmed up it stops. I think this is normal as there is alot of plastic now adays in cars. Mt theory on permanent rattles is always try to fix them yourself.
