GP Style Scoop Decal For R56?

I was wondering....does anyone sell a GP type decal ring to go around the bonnet scoop on the R56? I thought I've seen them, but I can't remember where.

Anybody know?

Thanks....MOTOR ON!

And has anyone had any issues w/ the obscenely hot R56 hood/scoop melting their vinyl?

If memory serves, I'm pretty sure I saw them somewhere here:

yeah, aesthetic creations has them, under the stickers catagory. I had it on mine until I had my hood replaced. Check out my gallery for pics.

People have recorded bonnet temperatures over 200F, and there's a thread devoted to people experiencing issues with it getting so hot that it's causing their hood scoop to warp. I'm just wondering if anyone's noticed their Hot Bonnet having an adverse effect on their stripes or other vinyl (melting, bubbling, peeling, etc).

Thanks for the info! Did you like yours and was it easy to apply?

I did like it, and with some patience it was very easy to install. The hardest part is keeping the thin bottom part straight while you squeegie. Just take your time and follow the directions, and you'll be fine. i had no previous experience with vinyl and I thought it came out great. I just haven't gotten around to replacing it since my hood was replaced. Good luck!

Hrm, that's not quite what I thought I'd seen (though maybe it's exactly what the OP has in mind). I'd thought I saw someone that had something that went on the outer 'ring' of the scoop itself, not on the hood around it.

Basically I'd like to white out my scoop (without having to, you know, actually paint it) to match my future white sport stripes.

Well....I'm also thinking about buying an extra scoop and painting it black. But I'd like to keep the original Dark Silver scoop in case I want to switch back one day.
