I feel for ya! Mine is due into SC on Friday and will probably be in Kansas City by the 6th (latest). Unfortunately, I live in Colorado Springs and have to fly to KC to pick it up. My flight is now booked on the 13th (conservative MA). So, Uncle Albert will be waiting another week in KC!!!

I'm looking into the cost of rebooking the flight but geeeez!

Hey, Ornery, are you in the Air Force ?

Aviano is a gorgeous place to be assigned. I was never permanent party there, but got lots of TDYs while on the HQ USAFE/LG staff. Always wanted to get a 3-year tour there... of all the USAF bases I've been to, and that's a lot, it was my favorite.

If you're just an Italian with a good sense of the English language, none of that Air Force talk made a lick of sense to you.

Congrats on your purchase and for your good sense in using AC for your mods.

 

Yes, I am in the Air Force... going on my 15th year in November. Aviano is a great assignment! It is one of the most beautiful places to be stationed, not only for the mountains! I'm newly divorced so I can really appreciate it now. OMG and the food it's eccezionale! But I honestly think Honduras was a better assignment.
Sorry, I didn't get home soon enough from finals to snap pictures. So y'all are just going to have to wait for the boot stripe install over the weekend to get them.

Honduras is Italy X2... for me it was anyway. I'll be back in the states in April, I hope to make the 08 Dragon! I went up the mountain today to play with the sport button some more and snapped some pictures. I'll be posting them shortly.

P.S. You don't have to thank me for serving... I love my job and can't think of doing anything else. Besides, I still haven't grown up yet! When I retire in 5 years I'll figure out what I'm going to do when I grow up.
