Still have the 08/11 date on OL, nothing has changed yet.

 

I'm puzzled as to why the OL doesn't at least update to say it is at the VDC. If it did that, I'd at least feel like some progress was made, even if my dates don't change.

Called the dealer again this am. My MA is apparently out until Saturday, so got a stand-in again. They still say the dates are unchanged and it doesn't mean someone ran into my car with a forklift or other damages occured. They keep claiming it's the stripes holding it up. I guess I have no reason not to believe them. It is all still within the original time estimate I was given.

I may have to force myself to take a NAM break for a few days so I can decompress. After today, I think I won't come back until I think you all might have pictures posted.

Actually this is the first time that my OL has updated with curnet info, till now it has been any where for 6 -12 days behind. MINI really needs to work on making the OL much more reliable, since the MA's are the ones that inform new owners about it. I have seen posts from several long time users, and they state the OL has been like this since it was first set up online in 2002.
Can understand if you need to take a brake from NAM, but we are here for ya if you want some support.

I'm extremely relieved and pleased to say that the OL has finally updated, now showing my Mini at the VDC with an estimated delivery date of 8/17.

I think I can make it that long. Once I see my racing stripes, I'm sure I'll think this prolonged wait was worth it.

 

About time it updated, congrats ! Went with the bonnet stripes as it was included in a package, I plan on changing them out to something similar to what you have.

 

Yeah, I far prefer the racing stripes. One big center stripe would be very nice as well.

Now that I'm feeling a sense of relief, I think I'll still take a few days off NAM to return to life before Mini.

Blair says " Sorry to inform you that you missed your delivery date, you now need to re-order" Ya if I was you, I would be calling and see if it has arrived or not.

I'll be going to a shop in San Ramon today to see about having them do the window tinting and clear bra install. Going to stop at East Bay and see if by chance the Mini has already arrived.
It would seem that East Bay either has a truck arriving almost daily from the VDC or the OL system for the VDC part is totally useless.
I'll look for your Mini as well.

So I called and Blair is out (of course!). Someone is going to get back to me shortly. I'm going to be slightly irritated if got there wednesday and no one told me about it and its not ready :( However, only slightly because if I get it today I will be beyond thrilled!

 

I'll be taking off in a couple of hours, if no one gets back to you before that, if you send a private msg with the last 7 digits of the vin I'll look for it well at Mini.
I still think the OL is not reliable at all at this point.

 

I'm also thinking that OL for me will not update till either the car is at East Bay or I have taken delivery. Have seen a few other people on NAM that has had that luck. :impatient

 

If thats true, I don't understand why East Bay would not have called me on Wednesday when it arrived. Anyways, I'm still waiting for them to call me back. I am resisting the urge to call every 5 minutes I may take you up on the VIN offer, will PM if I do.

Since we don't know how many Mini's they have that need to be delivered, if ones arrive earlier than they said, they won't end up being over worked doing PID's by delivering early than they tell us.

So, if it really is there.. I would think they would have it ready by today. Is that unreasonable? Of course, they could always lie and say it isn't there but then they have to explain OL.

I would seem if they have had it for more than a day then it would be PIDed and ready. AS for them explaining OL, they will just say as I have heard from them before, "OL is not always accurate and if you see it showing we have the car, that is not always correct. "
Main reason I'm making a stop by and see if I can find my car.
Good thing you can't concentrate on work or I would be all alone here online.

Yes, I know I should be happy I am getting it a day earlier and I am I'm only slightly irritated no one said anything to me and I would have waited til Monday if not for OL.

The garage is all organized and ready!

 

Ok, now I am 11:30am Sunday. That will actually work out pretty well. I am so excited!!
