So, what's the deal with your Mini? It's supposed to arrive at the dealer tomorrow, right? Or is this still unclear?
I was expecting a phone call over the weekend from the MA's with some updates or at least an apology for calling me on Wednesday morning saying I would have Saturday or Sunday. I sent an email about 3pm and have nothing as of yet.
At this point I'm not counting on anything till they call and confirm it is on the lot.

Just a quick post (family visiting so not much time today to get online). I picked up my Mini this morning. One minor problem was the check engine light was on. I got the call 15 minutes before my appointment and I was basically already up there. I was a bit pissed because its a 45 minute drive. We ended up taking the car and will get it serviced down here.
On a happier note, the car is awesome! I love it and its really fun to drive. My 2 dogs love it too

Sorry about the CEL, seems like they should have found that sooner than that close to you arrivial time for sure. Did you get the floor mats and full tank of gas ?
I see the need for a convertible, your kids in the back look like they belong there.

There will be three of us checking over the car and I'm doing a test drive before even signing the final papers. If there are any issues, guess I go home and return for another attempt.

Hmm weird. I didn't see your car when I was there, but I was only in the showroom and outside the showroom. So is it supposed to come on the truck today?
I would assume so since the OL has not changed the date, but as unrelialbe as OL can be who knows where the car is. Will just........ wait and see how long before someone at EB contacts me, any bets it won't be today ? :impatient
Considering that they never called me after my car came in (I had to call them), I would be calling them to see where it is.
Wtih my luck so far on delivery I won't be surprised if wonderminni takes delivery before us.

OL still showing delivery for today, have not received a reply from the email I sent yesterday, no call from anyone either. Think I'll give them another hour and then try calling and see what I get for an answer.
Well as usual my MA Robert had just left so talked with Blair. His computer is now showing the 15th, this is really starting to tick me off.
I'm so sorry--as you know, I can imagine how you feel.

At least the people at Niello keep telling me the same story.

What upsets me is both MA's that I deal with only tell me things as we go along, the fact that there are two differant data bases instaed of one common base that shares info, OL is on a seperate data base and updates 8 to 12 hours later than the dealers sight.
I sent my MA email yesterday afternoon asking him to keep me updated today if the date chaged. I waited till after 5pm to allow time for a truck to arrive and for any info from them. When I call he had just left for the day and the other MA tells me the date changed again, that happened many many hours ago, an email or phone call would have went a long way in keeping a customer content.
I understand that the car may well be waiting for Waggoners to pick it up and the dealer has no control over that matter. But as a customer I would expect my MA to keep me updated when things change so that I'm not sitting here seeing a date for delivery that has been changed. I'm getting the feeling from East Bay that customers are just numbers, and if they do loose one there are 10 more waiting right behind him.
It is starting to seem like I should have made the hour drive and dealt with your dealer.
Hope nothing changes for you and you have your Mini on the date they are saying.

It helps that my date moved up instead of back (and we'll see if that holds)--probably would have been in the same situation as you if it had been the opposite. I definitely get the impression they don't get it. They don't understand the wait, the anticipation, what it means to have been tracking this thing for 7 weeks only to have it fall into a black hole...

OL is still showing the 13th so it has not updated, so I don't know if the 15th that I was told yesterday is accurate either. At this point I'm stuck waiting for someone at East Bay to call and schedule an appointment. Till then I will not know anything. :impatient

I know I got lucky picking it up early, but this CEL thing is strange. We got an appointment at Mountain View Mini for the 22nd. I guess they dont think its urgent. I've been reading the board lately and it seems a lot of new minis have CEL issues. Lovely.
I also got an email from the Sales Manager at EB MINI. I am sure its a stock letter but it basically said if you can't rate them all 5's in the MINI survey, to call them. At this moment, I'm not sure I could because of the CEL issue.. which I know is not totally their fault but its really not cool to call me 15 minutes before and when its a 45 minute drive for me. Plus a couple of other minor annoyances (not calling when the car came in, the finance guy half joking about getting discounts on Apple products from us, not faxing or calling paperwork when they said they would). There were many other good things too though (ordering was smooth, quick order-delivery time frame, salesman went over the car well, no high sales pressure, matched interest rate, people were nice, etc). So its a mixed bag for me. I don't think I would rate them poorly but not sure if I would do a 5 in all categories because of the CEL issue.
