R56 I can't believe it...
This whole thread has been hilarious to read. Awesome. You guys should feel very lucky. I ordered mine on 6/30. I called MiniUSA today and they told me it's still 'On Order'! I'm trying to figure out how some people are ordering their cars after I did and getting built before me. Talk about agonizing over the wait! Oh well. Your car sounds amazing. Post some pics when you get it.

Or, in your case, they know it is yours so they are holding off on building it just to drive you batty!!

...ya, I'm sure that's what the hold up is on that MINI.
They wouldn't dare try to hold up or delay Mike's MINI though. In fact, I predict that MINIUSA Sr Executive Management team has held crisis meetings over the production of Mike's MINI.
I suspect they have implemented some kind of escalation protocol to move Mike's MINI through the process faster than usual - in order to get him off their backs, save bandwidth with his constant "refresh" of the OL, save money with his constant dialing of the toll-free number, and to ensure that Mike doesn't swim across the pond to personally coordinate travel plans for his R56's journey to US soil.

Bwaaahahahahahahahaha told ya...they want your MINI outta there ASAP!!
Just kidding.
Congrats, baby.
On a side note -
we did watch a movie on Friday night...."The Guardian"...a flick with Kevin Costner as a US Coast Guard rescue swimmer.
Anyway...Mike was appalled to watch the first few mins of the movie - a car-carrying cargo ship sank. He was all
WHY are you making me watch this when my baby is sitting on the dock waiting to be loaded onto the Carmen.
Bwaahahahahahahhaha it was pretty funny.
Though, not supposed to be a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Hehe, sure Tig, you think you will escape the mad paddle of the Clo lady.
There was about a two week period of time where Romi was lost. No one knew where she was. I just figured she hopped on a cruise line ship and took the scenic route. She looked awfully buff when she got here.

Now, Skuzzy, it's about time...time for you to teach Mike how to really whine. You know, the kind that you mastered while waiting for Romi. I remember those posts -
<-----that was me reading them minute-to-minute.
Not Funnieee Tiggy... you so mean!

it has happened before....

Ohhh, puuulheeeease
Watching you go through these emotional trials and tribulations isn't easy. It was but one brief hysterical moment in this MINI-on-order rollercoaster ride we're on.
It's not like I rented it BECAUSE a car carrier ship sunk.
or did I?

Here's some fun reading for you, Tigs and Mike.
Oops, Mike already beat me to it.
But we all know how things ended up...

I dunno Tig. Whines of that caliber take time to ferment properly. There was a time I was but a poor ignorant whineless person. But with perserverance, and stamina, I forged onward to make whines that have become legendary!
If Mike wants, I can take another candidate into the Skuzzy School of Whine.

OY!
No confirmation yet that Mike's MINI has been loaded on the Carmen, and he's just received news that Oxford is, at the moment, flooding, from the torential rains they're getting over there.
I predict a long night of pacing at our house.

Tig, if you feel the need to pace, there are things that can help. A shot of whisky with a bit of honey, cinnamon, and butter will help ease things up a bit.
If you are still having problems with tension, then try jogging around the block. Or go for a swim.
If the tension is still present, then send Mike out for take out and see if that does it.
Identifying the source of tension is the first step to curing it.
