Wow, that's a rather high fiber diet. Does he eat meat at all?

Another one! I've met several people online from there! How long has it been since you've been back much? It's incredible to me how an old area can still change so much!

I was out there about 4 or 5 years ago to visit... gotta tell me if the "Bronco" house is still there off the turnpike (36) and Pecos lol

It changed a lot when I was last there but I'm sure even moreso now. From what pop tells me Westminister/Broomfield/Louisville/Lafayette/Boulder are all pretty much one concrete jungle with no farms and fiels anymore. :(

Mike got a little "fix" today...

We were, conveniently, up in the area of Brecht MINI this morning, next to their Service/Parts facility. Our cars were next door being detailed. So, we trotted on over and said hi to Courtney (SA) - what a doll, and hopped a shuttle to the Sales Dept.

We delivered some more West Coast MINI cards to them, and chatted with Sean (our SalesHero) for awhile. I checked out a CR MCSC JCW that's TOTALLY loaded, and full of every piece of carbon fiber available. It's a stunning MINI, but I'm a chrome girl

Mike spent a few moments with a Lightening Blue R56 with JCW Aero Kit on the showroom flow...bonding with his new baby's sibling. I think it gave him a boost to see/stroke one in real life for a few brief minutes.

We're off to see Transformers tonight at the Drive-In. Should be a good time!

*wave* @ Sean...since now I know you're reading this thread too!

Is there anything special from San Diego you or your wife might like us to bring?
Well, how about some of the nice beach and sea breeze blowing off La Jolla, maybe a nice picture would surfice. Kidding of course, we have our own wind in Colorado.

From what I'm seeing, perhaps I should get the BIG togo package or you folks will not have anything for yourselves.

And tig says:
I would be honored to have a passenger up Mt Evans on Friday night at midnight. I'm planning on going up the mountain top-down, heater, and seat heaters blasting, hair blowing in the wind, and soak up those beautiful stars.
I was thinking of a more sedate little ride around Copper, I'm still working on her about the Mt. Evans FNC ride. She might ride up with me, but then we both will be to pooped to play on Saturday morning.

Thanks for the offer for Mt. Evans, but I want to keep her loving the MINI.

Made it thru the weekend!

Getting the VIN late last week made the weekend bearable for Mike. And we kept busy and away from the house, so as to give his poor "refresh" key a break...to keep him off the phone to MINIUSA...and to avoid whomever might stop by to serve the restraining order on Mike.

Saturday night we headed up to Riverside (Monclair) to the Drive-In. SCMM held their annual Night at the Drive-In. I believe the final count was 73ish Minis, MINIs, and Moke. We had a good time. 4 MINIs motored up from San Diego.

Transformers was pretty good. Better than I'd been mentally prepared for. Being surrounded by so many MINIs and miniacs was awesome!

Sunday we went to visit MINIs again. Well, one in particular. Just checking it out for another NAMite. It was located at a EuroCars Boutique in San Diego. The MINI was surrounded by BMWs, Porches, Mercedes, Range Rovers, and other expensive, albeit used, cars.

Mike looked at a few of them...when he came outside he said, "Ya know...it's a great feeling to look at those imports and see their price tags...then think about my MINI on order...and know that I'm not even interested in any other car, regardless of price tag".

Mike slept this weekend! I call that progress! I suspect he'll be back to nail-biting, pacing, and harassing those dear folks at MINIUSA regarding build completion date and getting his baby to the dock for shipping.

I keep wondering..."just how fast could this thing actually arrive?" Mike's birthday is August 7th. That's THE DAY before we depart for MITM! What if it got here in time!? Niiiice birthday surprise! Or, omgoodness, what if we are in route to MITM and Mike gets THE CALL? :impatient Would he make us turn around and come back home? Would he be unbearable to live with for 5 more days? I'm hoping it comes before the trip...or after the trip....but NOT during the trip.

You should be safe, the next departure for the West Coast should be next Monday or Tuesday, it takes a minimum of 21 days, that would put it arriving at the VDC on Aug 13th or 14th. Or one week later if his Mini happens to miss the ship for next week. With his estimated completion date, it will be close.

I think I'll be safe from getting "the call" during our MITM trip. I honestly think we are looking at the first week of September with the "dealer installed add-ons" JCW Aero, wing, wheel, etc.

I hope that Doug will be able to give me the exact details on when the car was completed like he did with the "inception"

I think the only thing that would be more perfect is finding someone at MINI in Oxford to take a pic of him on the line or in Quality Control hmmmm... I think I have a friend that just got back and made some contacts at MINI...

/reaches for phone again.

I know...but I am not yet emotionally recovered enough to discuss it.

Y'all basically gelded poor Churchill last night. His spirit will never soar as high as it once did.

D'oh...you didn't show him the Ultrasound of his baby brother did you?

Is the wing off? That would be a big-azz transformation.
