Not false, its just going to be a very lengthy labor. In the case of the Isolde, She was near the end of the pack for that day's crossings and made it through Miraflores around this time of day. The odds of just starting a run seems remote.

From the pictures someone posted of the Isolde's previous journey through the Canal, his pictures were also at night.

Sounds like tomorrow's going to be Panama Canal Cam vigil day. "yes, I remember it well".

 

The Carmen is still anchored outside the in the Cristobal Anchorages.

 

She isn't listed on the Daily Traffic Report anymore either. It is only listing ships expected to arrive today and later. I'd say she is going to pass through sometime this afternoon/evening.

btw: There is brown rice too. Seriously, I can't imagine trying to get ready for a trip while going through the canal. I could barely reply to work email the day the Isolde went through.

On the plus side, it looks like the Carmen is at the front of the line, so it won't be after 10pm for Miraflores like it was for the Isolde.

Actually, we're in pretty good shape. Everything is laid out, all electronics are charged, and I've move through my pre-departure checklist rather quickly.

We're going to go get some lunch, visit with Blair for a bit, wash/wax the MINIs, run a couple of last minute errands (grocery store: NOS and cans of Starbucks coffee for the cooler), and then come home to take a nap from about 9PMish - 2AM.

We meet our San Diego peeps at 3AM, and we're outta here.
