But he said he would post pics by midnight. So, get home at 10:00 PM (an extra hour for a windy road he couldn't resist), detail the car until 11:30 PM, process photos and post them just before midnight.

This is like waiting for ISOLDE to show up in the Panama web cams.

Here is my list so far:

• Got my loan check ready.
• Camera ready with a 2GB card and a fresh battery.
• Packing up my iPod (got the iPod adapter) and a CD for testing purposes.
• Bringing my first mods: Craven 4" antenna and MINI magnetic stone guards.
• Going to bring my laptop (I know of a spot near the MINI dealer where I can access a free wireless hotspot) so I can post a few "delivery" pics before heading for the hills. Don't wan't to cause undue anxiety to the group.

My Mom is coming over to my house to pick me up at noon. Should only take 20-25 minutes to get there on a Saturday, but I'm hoping a little early will work... just a little eager. :impatient

 

Proposed route home... may change some things as I go.

I know the feeling I only got maybe four hours of sleep Thursay night. I was up until around 3 AM last night going through the manual and getting familiar with the NAV integration throughout the whoe vehicle.

Gary, so how big is the NAV user guide? This is the first car I'll have that I'll actually have to RTFM. Looking forward to seeing/playing with all of the features.'

Robin, POOMs Anonymous sounds like a fun one to make, what does everyone else think (even though I don't think I'll be doing much other than bonding with Sam for quite a while).

The route I'm taking is one I've done many times on my motorcycle (I've even included the road where I got taken out by a car 4 years ago). I'm not planning on pushing Sam too hard - I'll watch my RPMs. Lots of spots on the route to stop and get pictures.
