Good tracking, they really must have put the lead into the boiler.

OY! He's early!! He's not spozda be early!

CaaaaRAP!

Well *sigh*...it appears my plans to pay cash are going to go out the window. I just can't see Mike having to visit Deacon at the dealership for 2 weeks while we wait (we're waiting for one of our stock portfolios to vest on the 24th and payout on the 1st-ish).

Damnit....not that I want to torture Mike more than necessary (ok, that part I like) but I kind of hope that the VDC takes their time. It's a race against the clock. :impatient Really, in order to cash out, process the transaction, receive the check...yadadada...we're talking more like the 1st.

Will Deacon arrive before the 1st, or won't he? That is the $1M question.

Babies that arrive a bit early are KOOL. MINIs that arrive earlier than planned are NOT KOOL!

Nice Happy Dance. Great at the VDC early.

Hey Tigs, see if the local credit union or your bank of choice will give you a 30 day loan? That way, Mike gets Deacon, you keep Mike out of the looney bin and peace at home, etc...

Anybody check WW to see if Deacon has been discharged?

Don't they have a webcam at the VDC, perhaps we could suggest that to MINI.USA.

Happy for you, sad for you, if you have to wait until after Sept. 1.

It looks like the Carmen is moored at Port Hueneme, at least it is off of the AIS display on shinemicro.com

I had a fun day today. Jadzia had an allergic reaction to her medications so I spent the day at the vet while they ministered to her. She's fine now but she did give us a bit of a scare. We also found out today that the masses that were removed on Friday were benign. We just need to get her knee fixed up and she'll be as good as new puppy again.

That's AWESOME news about your puppy! I mean, about the masses of course, not the alergic reaction. I'm sooo relieved for you! I know how pups become part of the family, and are as integral as our kids.

*dances*

Or stoked up her pants. I think you've mixed, "Get the lead out of your pants!" with "They really stoked up the boiler."

A NAM First! We have someone who is angry that their MINI came in early!

CaaaaRAP!

Well *sigh*...it appears my plans to pay cash are going to go out the window.
You're going to have to reschedule that bank job.

Damnit....not that I want to torture Mike more than necessary (ok, that part I like) but I kind of hope that the VDC takes their time.
Are you having an aero kit installed at the VDC? Those can take awhile. They have to paint them, and matching the color can be difficult.*
I think it was karlInSanDiego that had serious delays with VDC trying to match Mellow Yellow. They finally gave up, and he did it himself.

Will Deacon arrive before the 1st, or won't he? That is the $1M question.
Wow! You are paying a lot for your MINI. Must have some great options. Did you get the 24K Gold Interior Package?

*I speak from experience. The scoop on my MCS did not match the shade of Pure Silver on the hood. MINI of Mountian View sent me to Autobahn Body & Paint to fix it. "They do great work." At the same time, I was having the rear bumper replaced after the encounter with the famous person's BMW. Well, they went to great lengths to match the hood color for the scoop. Then they used that color on the rear bumper. It didn't match. So, they remixed and re-sprayed the bumper. I was supposed to pick it up today, but when I called this morning he said the color still didn't match. So, they are re-spraying it for the third time. Tomorrow, I'll know if that worked.

Hey Robin, your right this is the first time I've seen someone angry the MINI is early, go figure. I sure a search could prove us wrong of course.

Your MINI color must be a hard match. Is this the first year for that flavor?

Yeah, I mix those little sayings all the time, not a sign of getting old, I have been doing it since before time.

Gary, good to hear the results were good, not good on the med. reaction, now you know when you get your pup's knee fixed.

Soooo, the Carmen is headed to yokohama, perhaps they can drop Deacon off on the next trip around so he arrives after Sept. 1. :impatient

Or, they could hope that it was badly damaged in transit and order another. I'm sure Mike & Tig would enjoy the trans-Atlantic process again.

Congratulations Mike!!! Deacon is on US soil and within driving distance (not that I'm posing that as an suggestion ). Glad you like the nannas

Never thought I'd see that reaction from you Tigs. Though I do understand it financially.

Things will somehow work out where Mike stays sane, thus keeping you sane, and Deacon will come home one way or another.

I just checked and I got an image of Carmen moored at Port Hueneme:

I had a fun day today. Jadzia had an allergic reaction to her medications so I spent the day at the vet while they ministered to her. She's fine now but she did give us a bit of a scare. Gary, I'm relieved that the growths are benign, but that allergic reaction must have been an aweful thing for you and Jadzia to go through today. Glad that things turned out well though.

I'll 2nd, or is that 3rd, the comments about pets as children. I have two furry children (Maggie, 13yo dog and Henry, 13yo diabetic cat). I ended up at the vet this afternoon also. Maggie had a third eyelid flip out and was red and inflamed. Probably bothered me more than her, but I wanted to have it checked.

Glad she came through OK. Having had allergic reactions to medications myself, I know how not fun they can be. Glad the other indicators are good as well.

Gary, glad to hear the pup is on the mend

Thanks for the continued updates everyone... I'm having a hard time resisting the temptation to drive up there and supervise the VDC process

Well off to bed.. migraine kicking in and I get grumpy... see you all in the morning.

Awwww Mike, sorry to hear about the migraine... Unfortunately I know all too well how bad they suck.

Hope it is a "mild" one that doesn't last too long.

He's obviously feeling better.

As I am engrossed in one of my guilty pleasures (Big Brother 8), he comes dancing into the bedroom naked, does a flying wilson onto our bed, and makes his Plushie do a "dance" while chanting..."I'm on U.S. soil, I'm on U.S. soil"...."I'm getting my bumper, I'm getting my bumper"...."I'm getting my Wiiihing, I'm getting my Wiihing"...."I'm getting my side skirts, I'm getting my side skirts"...."I'm on U.S. soil"...."I'm on U.S. soil"....Grrrrroooowl....Groooooowl....Kachow!" He is soooo going to kill me for typing this. LMFAO!!! It'll be sooo worth it.

God help me...he's plotting our weekend plans around a trip to the VDC. :impatient

Okay... I hear Tig's laughing hysterically from the bedroom so I figured something has to be VERY VERY Wrong... lo and behold she never fails to dissapoint!

They say there is some truth to every great story...

Yes I was nakked, yes I was chanting, however I did not jump into the bed...

furthermore... I was wiggling my rather large blue plushie at her chanting "I'm at the VDC...I'm at the VDC... I'm getting new bumpers... I'm getting new bummpers... Alacantra interior alacantra interiorrrr. GRRRrrrroooowllll.

She was crackin up... then she came into the office to smear my good reputation!... and that is the truth, the whole truth, and nuttin but the truth so help me God!

P.S. I have a friennnnnd... he has base access at the port sooo mayyyyybeeeee... jusssttt mmaayyyybeee ....

I dunno, it's a long shot but maybe my buddy can get me up there, he actually brought that up a few weeks ago and I'm not sure wha he has planned for the weekend.
