I have this vision of Tigs all black and blue saying to her staff on Monday, no we did not have a 'fight', I asked him to slow down from 25mph to let me out and he said jump at 5, so I did.

You will have to give us an update on the ODO, unless Mike wants to himself! Oh, what am I thinking, do they have a keyboard in steering wheel/wireless/laptop in Deacon. We shall have to see how many hours before we see a post from Mike. Hope he gets some sleep, you to Tigs.

Hey congrats Tig and Mike I've been following this thread over the past several weeks and it's made me excited and a little teary for you guys. So happy that you got Deacon a little earlier than you originally planned and that it all worked out.

You are all really lucky to have such a great MINI family down there! Lots of support and most of all FUN (something that's greatly missing up here)!

 

Mike and Tigs, I have wasted more time at work following this thread! Congrats on the car...It looks awesome.

OMG I <3 my R56!!!

It's been almost a full 24 hours, and I still can't stop grinning! I was hoping a few hours of sleep would relax my facial muscles but no dice. I must have been dreaming about the twisties.

First... the color... Lightning Blue with White is gorgeous! I put the wheels on last night and OMG it's sexy. I will get some pics today and upload them but man it's a great looking car... and I say that with nooooo bias .

Second, mmmm TOURQUE... man this car wants to GOOOO, and it's effortless! It's wierd coming from a modded R53. I'm used to the whine of the supercharger and the screaming exhaust I had... now it's quiet, but pulls hard, and just rides sooo nice. Even with the sport suspension it doesnt give the bone rattling ride of the R53 with Sport. (No I havn't gone over 4500rpm)

BUTTONS!!!! Man I have so many buttons and dials and ***** and STUFF!! Church had the Cold and Sport packages so I'm really not used to it all.

Leather... I got the Punch Carbon and man it's niiiiiiiiceeee. Buttery smooth yet breathes. I like the lumbar, and I really feel cradled by them... I think it's just Deacon hugging me

Well only 200 miles on the odo total yesterday, but they were all driven with big grins

 

This is the real Tigs. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that up there was Mike....I guess I left myself signed in on his machine yesterday.

Hey Tigs - errr Mike - I'm sooooo glad your first day of bonding time with Deacon has been good. I'm sure the entire Support Unit feels the same way. I'm THRILLED FOR YOU!!!!!!!

I love my PC Leather seats too; since the day I brought him home it feels like Sam's hugging me every time I drive him.

 

And where are the Deacon pictures after 200 happy miles?

What does he look like with the wheels or is that today?

Wheels look good. What make/model are they? IIRC, you said they were less than 14 lbs. What tires are you running?

The wheels are Weds Sport TC-005 17"x7" 42 Offset 13.9lbs each with Falken Azeni RT-615, 215/45/17

A lot of people have complained about the Falken as a "greasy" tire but I hav not experienced this. I get them for 500.00 out the door from my tire guy and the 1st set got me 20,000mi. Not bad for a sticky tire

 

So is this Tigs or Mike???? Or do both of you use the same tires??

Thanks for the update, nice wheels, I was thinking these would look good on scooter. Sport Maxx 941s in gunmetal. 16 or 17 x 7 + 38 offset.

Did I read that you guys didn't want the front plate installed? From the pics, it looks like the dealer drilled the front bumper for the plate.
