Wheel opinions needed.......after delivery

Our car was delivered today but with the wrong wheels. The car has crown spoke 17'' but was supposed to have the web spoke 17". I have to admit that the crowns look pretty good and are really easy to keep clean. The web spokes look like a bear to keep clean but are better looking IMO. My dealer said I can keep the crowns and they will give me a refund of $500 or I can swap with the webs when the alarm is installed in a few weeks. What would you do?? Thanks!

Tough call, they look great but not what you initially wanted. Web spokes sure are pretty tho. Can you say toothbrush?

Did you have the Hypersport Package wheel arches color coded or did they come from the factory like that?

Since you had a contract ... you could have rejected the car ... or told them to swap them for what you wanted.

Since you accepted the car, I'd take the $500

Had to have them painted at the dealer. When I first saw the car I told them I would not accept the car without the painted arches since it really was ugly I had ordered the car with the JCW aero kit but my MA suggested I go with Hypersport instead to save money. I had never seen the Hypersport kit so I was quite underwhelmed when I first saw it. Quoted $750 for the paint work but they gave me 50% off.

I still have the option of swapping them. We put it into the contract.

Great looking Mini, I really like the painted arches alot. The difference in appearance is pretty stunning! I plan on ordering an MCS with the JCW aero kit as soon as my current car is paid off (around next Xmas). Just curious if most dealers will do this and if so what it would cost.

I am not a fan of the Crown spokes. To me, the spokes look to thick. I would get the $500.00 back and look at some of the after-market wheels. I bought these from a fellow forum member (17 inch BBS-Rc's). Check out the wheels/tires for sale.

Well, it would look pretty kewl with the Web Spokes....

Hmmm let's see... it would be less expensive to have them swap the wheels for the Web Spokes and buy springs than to put the $500 toward springs and then buy wheels.

the wheels you have on that red car are plenty beautiful from the looks of it. I wouldn't change it at all.

Dealer quoted me $750 for paint. I ended up getting a 50% discount due to other aggravations in the transaction.

I would keep the webs' and use the money for aftermarket rims. I was playing around on tire rack and I could get ultraleggara's in 18" with some great tires (forgot, this was like a month ago) and it was like just a little more than replacing the stock runflats. Just a thought.
