Seems someone would offer a polished or anodized housing for dress up. Haven't been able to find anything other than stock.

Wouldn't be hard to find a spare and have it powder coated I would think. But you would chip the paint off the hex part after a few oil changes I would think. Polishing shouldnt be to hard.

kind of a buried item for bling IMO

but I see you are in Palm Beach, just down the road. It would be pretty easy to take a stock one and spend a lil time on a buff wheel and make it shine . . . I happen to have such a wheel . . . I think previous post meant to say Polishing shouldn't be too hard.

buy one and send it to me ... I'll polish it for you. No charge. PM if interested

I don't think you'll have much success hand polishing, but you can buy a wheel to chuck in a drill ... and that in a vice or stand can work . . . .

$4 .... http://www.harborfreight.com/4-piece...kit-43657.html

I already polished my stainless overflow tank (which I still haven't installed) with great results. I was hoping to find one in red, but since I can't polish is the way I will go next oil change. Wished I thought about this before I changed my oil last week.

Not sure understand your apparent frustration.
