Halloween decorating HO Cab- need suggestions!
Hi all,
I hope this is the right place for this question. I couldn't find anything in the archives...It's a bit early for Halloween, but then of course I've been seeing the store displays since July 4th!
I just bought a used 2005 Hot Orange Cab and I realized that Halloween is going to have to be "our day"!
Any suggestions for decorating the car? I wonder if there is some black not-too-sticky, easily removable, no residue stuff in sheets that I can cut out either a jack-o-lantern face or maybe, even better, bat wings? Oooh. My son and I can be Bat Boy and Bat Mama and our Mini can be the Bat Mobile!
Thanks everyone!

Well this is no help but....
We took 'Rita to Las Vegas last year for the Jimmy Buffett concert. I bought luau table runners and wrapped 'Rita in them...like a hula skirt. I hung parrot lights all around the open top and plugged them in to the lighter socket with an adapter. We also had a 4' light up plam tree with a flamingo hanging in a hammock which we put in the back seat. It was great fun. Unfortunately we were to busy socializing and didn't take any pictures. Of course...I'm not sure they would have been in focus anyway. We're going up again in October. Maybe we'll do a dry run and I can post pictures before the "margarita's set in
Have you thought about going to Partycity and seeing what they have there that you could use on your MINI?
I know that they have static clings for windows that would also work on the sides of you MINI and you have the perfect color for Halloween
Also if your very careful and use the right type of container you can fill something like an ice chest with dry ice and create a cauldron type effect.
Or get a small fog machine and plug it into the boot with an adapter and blow fog out the back of the MINI.
Stretch the spider web material from front to back on the MINI just keep it away from the exhaust pipe.
Don't forget to post pictures.

update, but no pix yet.
Hi all, thanks for the suggestions.
I am gathering my materials! It is SO much fun having a MINI!
I bought yards and yards of 3 different great fabrics from my local JoAnn fabric store to drape over/around the top. there's a particularly pretty one, gold spiderwebs on one side and silver on the other. I bought a shiny green fabric that I'll make into a pumpkin stem and hang it out of the boot.
I bought static cling 'stuff" from Tap Plastics. It comes in huge rolls, 36 inches wide and $2.25 a linear foot - cheap! It is the stuff used to tint windows I think. It looks black on the white background it comes on, I hope it's dark enough on the actual car. I need to cut out a few shapes and test it out.
Now I just need to find some artistic talent!
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. i'll post pix when I get around to doing this stuff!

While you're at it, make good plans and send them my way.... I've got antlers and a red nose for mine for Christmas time.
