Help. I'm saddened

Does anyone know where I can get a new little 'lid' thing that goes over the buttons to put the roof up or down? (You know, the thing with the cute saying) Not sure what to call it, but I'm sure that was technical speak
Mine broke in the posession of another person (I'm very sure he didn't mean to do it, but it's still broken)

Anyone not using theres?

Oh...that breaks my heart!

That is what I worry about on my little Scarlett.

Our MA told us it would fall off after a few weeks - and actually, we still have it many months later. MA said once it's off, it's off...that isn't something they fix or replace....(which is sad since it's one of the best features).

I wonder if someone should call the ASK MINI line and request that one be sent to you...you can glue it back up there. That's what I'd do anyway....you never know until you ASK!

GOOD LUCK!!!

I could have sworn that someone in this forum said that these items were so popular, that dealers have taken to stocking them. You could try giving them a call.

If not, you could send an e-mail to MINI USA requesting one. I found them to be very responsive. (That's how I got my labels for my toggle switches.)

I thought the little door was cute too but from day one mine was never quite right & then the sticker started peeling off so I just removed it. I really don't miss it now

Classic MINI in Mentor was keeping them (but this was 2 years ago) if the client asked to have them removed. There were a few spares and I asked to get one put onto my car when it was delivered. I think it lasted about 3 months. Haven't seen the sales guys in almost a year, so I don't know if they still have any.

I still have mine after it stopped sticking to the car so if nothing turns up and you want an old used one I can mail mine out to you.

Thank you so much

I'm making my own one in photoshop, so I'll post it soon (if anyone wants to print it out or use it for something)

Got my response from MINI... they say to contact the dealer.. the dealer says to contact MINI. Hmm... don't think MINI knew what part I was talking about

Hi Suzann,

Thanks for writing MINI. I'm sorry to hear that your button cover broke.

The button covers for the MINI convertibles are actually available to order through your MINI dealer. I would suggest speaking with your motoring advisor or the parts team at your preferred MINI dealer. I know that they would be happy to help you further.

If there are further questions I can assist with, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. I will be happy to lend a hand.

I'd ask MINIUSA for a part number. If the dealership has a part number, they should be able to order one!

Let me know what the number is, and if you are able to get one! I never had one since it got abducted by aliens, and would love another one. I think they are so fun!

When you picked up Cecilia did you grab a 'Is my top closed? Call 1-800-Do No Close' bumper sticker?

Ok, got a response.. at least she's really trying!

Hi Suzann,

Thanks for your response. I am sorry to hear that your dealer doesn't have the part number.

We do not have part numbers available here, but I am currently attempting to track this one down. As soon as I have more information for you, I will be in touch.

In the meantime, if there are further questions I can assist with, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. I will be happy to lend a hand.

Mine came off. Lots of people's do.

Think of it as a metamorphosis like leaving preschool and needing less protection or like not being a larvae anymore or something.......

My sticker is also falling off. I would like to have a new plastic thing + sticker as well. It is definitely a sad thing.
