Paddington.. so its winning. however, I was also thinking Victoria, or Hermoione. But I can't decide, anybody out there with a name they didn't choose.. I know I'll pick it once I know it is mine. but I need some suggestions or comments on teh naems above?? Help!!!

Congrats and good luck today...sorry I can't help with name, mine is nameless...As far as I know, you don't need a name to pick up your MINI, so maybe if you wait until after you take delivery, it will whisper it's name to you on the way home...have fun!

I've got an idea....name it after me! Call it Brian. Just kidding. Just think of something that means "fun" to you when you say it and something will pop into your head. I named mine Ferris after Ferris Bueler. Nothing is more fun then a day off with Ferris!

Good luck and enjoy your soon to be motoring. Be sure to check out your regional threads for local events. Most regions have some exciting things planned for the spring months and of course, the Italian Job

Motor On!

Congrats! You must be so excited! I know I was. I'm leaning towards either Cricket or Preston...or then there's Vincent....I could go on and on!

I'm under the belief you can't choose a name for your MINI -it comes to you like a ray of light. We tried for months to come up with a name before ours was delivered and nothing stuck. We made it a family trip as we picked up our MINI in Memphis and drove it back to Dallas. During the drive we picked up a bobbly headed bulldog that we now call Coop and the MINI is know as Moe -short for Moses, Leader of MINI -

The name for your MINI will just happen - don't push it -IMO

Name it L.Mini.

Seriously.

Here's what you should do...the second that you see your MINI...what is the first name that pops into your head? Name it whatever that name is. Especially if it's L.Mini.

I really like Paddington, for a MINI name, the bear, and the station in London is pretty cool too. There's this sushi bar where the sushi goes by on a conveyor and you pick off what you want, and the Paddington statue and.... oh wait this is about your car, sorry....

Sorry, Harry Potter character or not, I'm just repulsed by the name Hermine. Yuck!!

The first name you think of usually has the most value. For me, I didn't really have a name until I saw the plates I ordered.

I should explain...

I ordered license plates for their AESTHETIC value, almost symmetrical, and looking like two eyes ( I QQ I). When I saw it, I said IQQI! (like Icky).

So now my MINI is IQQIMINI (Icky MINI). Go see... IQQIMINI.com

so, long story longer - I vote for Paddington.

Ok thank for the suggestion so far I appreciate it! My cooper ( non-s) is British Racing Green, witha white roof and sunroof, its an automatic, white 8 spoke wheels, chorme inserts and cordoba begie leather interior w/ silver trim. It will eventually have hella lights, racign stripes, adn a spoiler, but I'm putting them on afterwards to save somemmoney.. ( My nick name is T-Bear and 1 t bear is my current licence plate, but I'm toyign with the notion of getting 2XL N A XS as a licence plate since i'm a really big guy, which is where teh bear thigns coems in.. i really like paddingotn bear growing up, but I don't know... Keep the suggestion commign.. but I think your right I think it will hit me while driving.

I like Paddington also, although it would really only work for certain colors. I've never been one for naming my cars, and was at least going to wait for delivery to decide if I should name mine, but then the perfect name hit me. Since my car will be CHILI RED, and it is small, I decided to name it FLEA, as in the bassist from the RED hot CHILI peppers. I thought it was clever, at least. And I knew that my extremely jealous wife wouldn't appreciate a female name, LOL.

Question? Is this your first car? If not, have you ever been successful in naming any of your previous ones? It's been my personal experience that naming a car comes from within. I've tried doing it on some of my past vehicles and none have stuck. I guess there's something about personifying an inantimate object that just escapes me....that is, until it breaks. Then it gets called all sorts of names! I'm sure there's quite a few other folks out there who'd fit into the same category.

chollomo...for all the reasons you gave above I would definitely go with Paddington. It seems like it really has personal meaning!

too funny -we almost named our CR, Mr. Keidis in honor of RHCP lead man Anthony K.
