Picked up my used MINI!!!

So I just got home from Picking up my 2005 MINI Cooper S!! It was about a 500 mile trip back but it was worth it, I'm in LOVE with this car.

Couple of things, it seems the car was actually purchased in Germany by a person in the service and brought back over here. There's a German dealership sticker under the bonnet, and I have these two things in the back. Are they standard?? I'm guessing the one (first pic, minikit2) is since it's in English too and has the MINI logo...but the 2nd one (2nd pic, minikit1)?

Also, the dealer didn't know what he had!!! I never popped the hood the whole time I was buying the car (mistake I know, just honestly slipped my mind) but AFTER I drove it off the lot I did and noticed it has the JCW Intake and a JCW STB. Might have other parts but I have to wait to meet up with a fellow MINI owner to see if he can tell if I have anything else.

So far I'm SOOO happy with the car.

Congrats on the new MINI and welcome to NAM!

The two things that you founnd in the boot are only included with the MINIs bought outside the US. So yes, it was probably brought over here from germany.

Glad to hear your enjoying your MINI!

Hey there,

Congrats on the new MINI

Mine was delivered in Spain and then imported to the USA ( USA spec car ). We assume it was a member of the military???? But, mine was never registered with MINI USA .....so I had no warranty for about 2 weeks. After alot of emails and phone calls I got the warranty transfered from Spain to the USA - Now, everything is A-OK

Mine came with the first aid kit and a set of warning triangles in a blue case with all the "911" numbers for all the european countries stamped on it. Also the owners manual and service log are stamped with the delivering dealers seal and signed off by the mechanic that did the pre-delivery inspection.

Very cool stuff

I hope you love it - have fun showing off your "Europe Only" equipment

I have that blue thing too, didn't know what it was, HAHA! Also stamped/signed off.

How would I go about getting the warranty switched as well? I dunno if mine is over here yet or not, any idea how to find out? (Keep in mind I'm 3 hours from the closest MINI dealer so I'd need to do this over the phone mostly).
