H**l yeah!

In my unbiased opinion, AB/S is the best!

AB is really a spectacular color (when its clean)!

It is a ery nice combo although I've personally never seen it up close as a checkmate. Dixon you're welcome to join this little club of limited editions if you like. And don't forget to check out your local club too, they have lots of events, atleast from what I've heard from a member or two.

Thanks Guys! Feelin' the love... Hey, is there a market for the stock (new) 17" Checkmate wheels? I'm really liking the web spokes...

I came from a long history of classic modified watercooled VW ownership, and most recent was a Mazdaspeed Protege "MSP" (Great fun car, almost perfect but, well, not a Mini!). It's now for sale...

Agreed on the AB, it's more a charcoal... my MSP is the black mica, similar, but with a hint of blue mica... the Mini gets hood scoop airbrushed flames this spring...

Sounds like you'll have some pretty cool additions to your car. Too bad you didn't ask about the wheels when you ordered your car, because you could have ordered them with webspokes and saved a little $$$. Little secret I found out after I ordered mine, but fortunatley I like the horseshoes.

demo

I didn't order mine, lucked out and got a good deal on a Checkmate dealer demo (yes, I know... plusses and minuses...) and since the car has mileage they won't switch out economically. Easier to market the horseshoes and buy the web spokes, or trade.

What's the market for the horseshoes, anyway? They're attractive and all, and I really like them, only I like the web-spokes, R90s, and Panasports (not S-lites) better.

i know there are people here with HB, AB, SB, RG, and PW all with checkmates. I haven't seen or heard of other colors yet. but i'm sure there are. I am thinking that most people wanted the interior to at least sort of match the exterior so that's why these colors were chosen.

and as for you dixon, welcome to the club!

it sucks though that ur checkmate didn't come with the horseshoes

Do you have more than the ones on the aft panel?

Don't know if you have more, but they sure are bigger.

I like the (actual size) sticker - had that made at a local sign shop using reflective silver.... I know I can buy 'em, but this was more immediate, custom, and more fun!

More Checks..

Hey fellow checkers. Thinking about adding Dark Silver checks to the roof. Wanting to know what everyone thinks about this. Also should I use the size of the side checks or go larger?

My first thought is no. Your car is very sophisticated looking and very subtle, which I think is great. Nothing worse than an obnoxious mod job that screams, "Look at me!" I think if you put checks on the roof it would detract rather than enhance the car, especially considering the roof is very similar in color to the body of the car.

This is my sunroof graphic. Hopefully that will help give you help with size of checks. As far as the whole roof goes...Do what you like, that's what makes the MINI so unique. My personal opinion is larger checks. But play with photoshop if you have access to it and see what different things will look like.

Unfortunately don't have access to photoshop. I was thinking just the silver portions of the roof, leaving the glass alone. Also it would be just adding Dark Silver metalic squares to the Pure Silver top to kind of match the side checks.

MY new Dark silver Chekmate!!!

Hey guys, this is my first post and Im so excited as Im getting a new Checkmate tomorrow!!!

I know there are female mini drivers but how many female Checkmate driver?? Im one, and Im from Australia.

Im getting Dark silver/ silver - has anyone got this combo? I have been looking for pics and cant find any. I am getting black interior. Its going to be pretty much stock standard(in aust comes with the electric sunroof - is this like everywhere), which is good enough for me, I will see what mods I can do after - thinking tinted windows definetly.

Ahhhh one more day to wait, and then I will post some pics on here.

Checkmate Lover I have a Dark Silver/Silver. Check my gallery, there is a few pictures. Your interior is black instead of the standard space blue checkmate?
