Sure thing and welcome!
I don't think we have any aussie's in here, so you would be the first. So how goes it down under?
Wait a minute, your steering wheel is on the wrong side! lol haha
j/k
are there a lot of MINI's down under?

Hello pedretti!
I finally had the opportunity to take my Checkmate on a proper drive through the deserts of Southern California. The trip confirmed what an excellent vehicle a MINI is. See pics and the route at https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...71#post1275471.

Can I join the Checkmate club?
Just got an Astro Black/silver Checkmate (base model, not the S) for an early Christmas present and am loving being the only driver in the area with this car! I know most Checkmates come in blue, but personally, I love the Astro Black....it's not really true black and not really blue either! Very classy, IMO.
I headed into the dealership to buy either a CR or BRG, but saw this last Checkmate sitting in the middle of the showroom and had to have it. The fact that it was a manual transmission and I've never driven a manual didn't prevent me from getting it. So, I've been learning to drive all over again, but am becoming more confident and am really starting to enjoy my MINI.
Got my windows tinted today and it makes it even better!

A sweet mod, but I think I'll leave mine as is. The silver gauge face matches the silver roof and silver checks that came with my checkmate package, not to mention the silver plastic down tubes. It all matches
Kind of goes with the theme

I agree. That was part of the "gotta have it" feel for me when I first sat in a checkmate. The interior and exterior are perfectly coordinated. I couldn't care much about how my tie, pants and socks match, but when it comes to a car, I love having the gauge faces match the trim and the steering wheel match the seats, etc....still gotta get a space blue shift **** though.
Oh yea... I agree whole heartedly.
I'm lucky if I can get my socks to match .
Although I did buy some racing/driving shoes to match that I use during rallying and events
.
In addition, check out my lastest simple mod. I got this custom made today. Granted its got the "D" letter, but since I bought and drive in Germany, I figured it went well. It will commemorate my time here and when the birth of me and my MINI cultivated.
