nice shots. i like em. i see you got a shot of Checkmate's Checks as well. Mine was parked up near the lodge, since I was hanging out with the people that were running the event.
I'm sure you saw me at one point, just prolly didn't realize it was me.
If you were at the farewell banquet, i was there helping out.

Hi
I'm looking to have 4 spot lights fitted to my Checkmate, but would like to see a picture of one with them on. Further up this thread I have seen the Checkmate with the 4 large lights fitted below the grill, but wanted to see a picture of them fitted conventionally to the grill. can Anyone point me at some pictures?
Cheers

There should be a lot of cars with the light configuration you want. A search in the NAm gallery might produce a lot of hits.
Good luck.
I saw myself today, haha!
Pulling out of a gas station I saw Kramers twin in the turn lane I was headed for. Pulled up next to her, she was surprised too. We exchanged compliments on what good taste in cars we had.

Makes the rest of the day cool.

Hi
Been copying Bluminiboy a bit - hiope he doesn't mind seeing as we are in England so not likely to be parked next to him!
Added the JCW spoiler and had the works kit fitted. Front grille has been painted silver (looks chrome on pictures but is actually the roof colour) to lighten the car and just waiting for silver side skirts to be added.

I acknowledged that your car inspired us a fair bit with the mods we have done to our car a long while back. The spoiler really suits the Checkmate and we think the silver sideskirts which match the roof work well too.perhaps yours is the only Checkmate with a JCW spoiler in the US and mine the only one in Europe?
Fun with Checks....

I did this for the PVGP a couple weekends ago, some liked it, I just did it to be a little different... cut a few 2"x2" squares from silver decal material and, well, the rest is in the pictures. Had to try to extend the OE checks, then blow them off a bit, let me know what you think, they're easily removable and it was 1/2 hour's work, so my feelings won't be hurt! I'm undecided on the effect, perhaps with more thought as to the "blowing off" pattern than just the random positioning it'd look better... open to thoughts...

Nice job Dixon. I've been wondering how to extend the checkmate theme as well.
One thing I will do is get aero side skirts and extend the checkers down. Ultimately, I want to do a checks-to-flames theme.
My visual mods are starting soon with old skool pinstriping on the interior. Its gonna be excellent.

I like the checks to flames idea... kind of a faded effect would be way cool. I've already taken the graphics off except for the first row onto the door (my wife liked THAT row...)
(what, some 4 hours after posting the first pics?)
Hey - it's only vinyl!

I use the Griot's products. The Puget Sound Mini club goes to Griot's shop 2 or 3 times a year for a demo on Mini car care. We all load up on the stuff. It's kind of pricey, put does a great job.

I think I saw your car but I didn't see you..
