Look around, there are SO many different ways to go with driving lights! Some like the bonnet mounts like Knight's, others go with larger bonnet mounts, or high/medium, or low-mounted 4-lamp light bars. Here's mine at last year's PittStopMINI winter driving event, and as a head-on shot (sorry they're not better pictures):

Dixon, what is that on the top of your headlights? Are they like eye lids? I can't figure it out.

Mu-wahahaha, they're eyelids allright, but functional ones - tried to be subtle as I don't prefer the "angry eyelids" or "sleepy eyelids" look. I noticed that the gun port ventilation dots - those little "holes" around the Xenon lights - were creating annoying snow glare in our western PA heavy snow and Pittsburgh fog, and wanted to cut the glare a bit. It worked, but the vinyl's now become too transparent so I need to re-apply. My next iteration will use some leftoverCarbon Fiber vinyl as it'll block more light - the fact that I already own some from a previous bicycling project is also kinda nice!

I totally love the lights. I would recommend you get the four light set. Be very selective to the look you want. There are alot out there but only some look good.

If you want the stock set, I'll be selling mine as soon as I find a 4 light set that I like.

Dunno if anyone still pays attention to this thread, but here's mine

just got it a few days ago,it's my first mini and though it is used, so far I am still loving it, the funny thing is I have never owned a car this small before, so it's taking some getting used to

yeah I lucked out w/ this one, while it is sort of high mileage for me (60k) but it's got a ton of extras on it and I know these things can go over 100k easy so I'm just going to enjoy it

Also here's one more pic from the front that I forgot to add in my last post

mmmmm, space blue....
and no rock chips? What's with THAT? If that hood is as pristine as it looks, get thee a clear bra quickly, change oil and do maintenance, and you're good for 100k more of easy motoring...
Nice car!

it's not bad, mine is an auto and it's good for daily stuff and can do 80/90 fine on the highway, but of course you're not going to be flying off the starting line....though sport mode does help a little when you need to try (like joining the freeway) and the cool thing is even w/ my lead foot I'm still getting 27-30MPG (I freakin love my chrono pack display)

@Geoff I've been thinking about getting them too, but everywhere I've seen them they're like $90 US so while I think they would look cool, I can't be bothered to spend $100 on floormats

Original Checkmate Dealer Posters - gauging interest

Hi...as a Checkmate owner I wanted to submit this post to anyone who might be interested in securing an orginal and authentic Checkmate dealer poster reflecting the Checkmate packaging and pricing options offered for this special interest car. Back in 2007, I was able to get a hold of a few of these card stock posters. I have mine framed and proudly displayed in my garage.

If anyone might be interested in one of these, let me know.

I also have some other dealer posters which may or may not be of interest. One is a card stock poster of 4 mini trading cards and the other is a JCW "finish line" stencil kit.

You can contact me via email if interested: steve_zuccaro@comcast.net

Thanks. Steve

too bad the normal mini checkmakte poster isn't blue, then it would look just like mine, lol

Although it is interesting that it doesn't list Xeneon lights for the base mini and yet mine has them....must've been aftermarket. But you can't deny they don't make the car look even better. (and have to admit I haven't run into to many base minis w/ them)
