D'oh. Youse(*) are too good!
One detail...DB5. I was babysitting as my wife was at a business meeting in Phoenix last week so I went to RM and saw it sold as well as many others. I've got to run home now but I'll post some pretty amazing pics and descripts tomorrow.
*that's Philly plural for you.

I also noticed another one of my dream cars, an MGA Twin Cam. Too bad it wasn't a coupe!

I was blown away that a Hemi Cuda ($300K) outsold a Ferrari 275 12 cylinder ($225).
I was there with my wife and 2 year old son who was sitting on my shoulders. At one point during the auction of the C Type Jag, my son frantically waved to his mother, effectively bidding $650,000 dollars on the car. Luckily, he was out-bid by a fat guy with a beard. He spent the rest of the auction in the stroller.
All hyperbole aside it was amazing that riff raff such as myself had unfettered access to the cars. Nobody stopped me from fondling a million dollar Bugatti or sitting in a E Type Jag. It seems the event was as much about the conspicuous consumption as it was about the cars. Those few who were really interested in the cars as more than commodities had free reign.
