Hood Warping after hood-scoop plug delete?

I removed the plug in my hood scoop a week or two ago - Came outside the other day during a sunny day and I noticed something which wasn't there before.

There are four point which litterally look like someone took a screw driver from the inside of the engine pay and poked my hood. This I'm guessing would be cause by the extreme heat under the hood heating up the hood, then the cold air coming in quite rapidly now with no plug, thus causing the hood to "warp" in these four little spots.

Has anyone else who has taken out their plug experienced this? I took it out because so many people recommended taking it out...

I took mine out for several months when I installed the AEM induction system inside the scoop, never warped during the time there was no grill installed or after. It could very well be that the four pins that hold your scoop onto the hood were not all clipped in causing your scoop to warp.

I have to take a picture, the 4 points are all over the place, not near the hood scoop.
