I might as well start this.I am ordering a Mini Cooper in the first week of March to get a April build,which well lead to a May deliverly.My Cooper will be Chilli Red with black roof and mirrors.Premium and Sport packages,plus the Sport Steering Wheel and Sport Suspension Plus.I can't wait to motor in May.

Since I launched the First Can't Wait For Club last September (as we waited impatiently for November) there have been 3 trillion page views on MCO from Club members, lurkers and guests.

OilMan: Wow - you first posted here on MCO about starting a MINI enthusiast club in Eastern PA quite a long time ago - I'm surprised to hear that you are just getting ready to place an order!!

 

I could have ordered a car months ago,but I wanted to wait,at least past the first model year.Looks like it was worth the wait,because the quality of the car does appear to be getting better and better.

As for the Eastern Pennsylvania Mini Club,looks like I am going to have to get it going on my own.

 

w00t! Finally the May club arrives! (Didn't start it myself, as I figured I spend enough time on these boards as is...). I made my deposit 12/31/02 and am looking at a mid-late May delivery for mine. (Figured I should exercise patience and restraint in order to get MSRP -- paid over for my S2000, and now my wallet needs relief).

Hi! I don't know which month to post in...I ordered my 2003 "S" in early December, 2002. I ordered a BRG with a black top and the two main packages. I called the dealer at the end of January to see if there was any information about "build" and he said to call back at the end of February and all I can do is keep looking at the phone/calendar and trying to be patient. Does my dealers allocation have any bearing on when I can expect to get some info?

Just got a call from the dealer to verify my order, and got the fax to that shows I'm in the queue! w00t! Now the countdown to delivery begins... (Placed deposit 12/31/02, so should amount to ~5mo. wait).

hey may-ers! I just spoke with my dealer and he says end of may, early june. i'm hoping to stick with may- does anyone have any info on how long it takes to get a production number? my dealer is the viceroy of vagueness...

 

I started this club,and now I am an official member of it.I ordered my car today(Feb 21st)and the order was put in the computer while I waited.I had the production number when I left the building.The production number is 3741578 with a est production date of 2003/04.The car should be delivered by sometime in May.I ordered a Mini Cooper(non S)with the Premium and Sport package.I also added the Sports Suspension Plus and the Sport Steering Wheel from the S.Oh yeah the colour,Chili Red with Black roof and mirrors.I'm still debating the black roof.I might call the dealership on Monday to change it to the body colour.
