AUX Audio Question

Hello all.....Question to those that have installed that AUX cable in there mini's. I just got my cable and installed it last night.I then hooked up my Sirius XACT Visor to it and the audio volume quaility is lower than that of a CD or the FM modulator. I really have to turn up the volume and adjust the bass to get something decent. Could it be my Sirius unit just doesn't pump out enough juice? I was really expecting better performance with the AUX input.

Thanks

Try going into the menu of the visor. I have several sirius units although not the visor and they all have a output level control. You can turn it up there. There may also be a level adjustment in the radio. Play with it. I have the sportster replay and to sounded great and after yesterdays update it sounds even better. It is at the same level as fm and cd.

But let me tell you that you probably wont be listening to much FM or CD. Enjoy it.

You've got the volume maxed on the Sirius unit, right?

AUX Audio Question

Thanks ninja!! I will do that first chance I get. I did notice that a lot of the stations sound better after yesterday's update. I'll post a reply here to let everyone know if this unit has that feature.
Thanks Again!!!!

Not sure about your setup, but my '05 with HK, I can set the AUX audio level from -5 to +5. This feature is seperate from the normal volume adjustment. I set mine to +3 then use the normal volume adjustment for daily use.

That was my thought as well. Once the AUX cable is installed a new menu option appears on the radio which lets you adjust the AUX input volume level to try and match it to the radio and CD volumes. I would start there, setting it to 4 or 5 and then adjust the Sirius output volume if necessary.
