Pic from Southampton...

Someone from the UK posted some pics of the MINIs waiting on the docs at Southampton on MINI2.

This pic was taken a day or two ago. Can you see yours???

I think mine's one of these HB/W ones!

I think I see my PW/PW Cooper! Waiting for delivery is such a drag! Poor Maximus is making friends waiting to come to his owner. It is like the Verizon commercial he will bump into his ship mates back here and I will wave at them for him ohh it is going to be great.

Also like the food chain there Jags on bottom, some Range Rovers, not sure what is on the next level, then LR3's and of couse on top the Mini, basking in the sun!

Over 100K in 3 years.

Compare that to the number of Accords Honda sells in year: Over 300K-400K cars

Well, since Cali's population is roughly 36 Million, that is a whole lotta MINIs!

I will agree, though, that there are lots of MINIs in SoCal!

they look like renualt méganes to me. but i don't know what they would be doing in england... maybe they are shipped out of southhampton as well.

how do you think they get all the cars on the ship? do they drive each one of them? i've heard that when they manufacture the mini, they set the odomter to 999,990 to account for testing/quality control/etc.

Those look like Land Rover Discovery 3's (called LR3 in the US) just below the MINI's. Then two levels below that are Range Rover Sports. I designed part of the suspension system on those two vehicles. Both vehicles are produced in the UK.
