R50/53 THE APRIL CLUB
Scheduled for production; April delivery
Well the Owner's Lounge just confirmed that MCSc I ordered is scheduled for production. According to the dealer, that means an early April delivery! Yippee!! Just in time for spring in Ol' Virginia
BTW, what's coming is a MCSc in cool blue with the cordoba interior w/anthracite. I went mostly ala carte with:
fog lights
xenon head lights
sport wheel
LSD
chili pack
black top
black hood stripes
Chrome interior
trip computer
16" wheels (I know, but I heard the xlites go quicker and guessed that I wouldn't find the handling that much hampered by not having 17" wheels- at least not that I'd notice.)
I already ordered that parcel shelf that replaces the piece of interior trim just under the steering wheel.
I skipped the HK radio (engine tunes beat the radio any day), and the automatic climate control. I've got one on a VW Passat and it simply drives me nuts when it decides that the fan must be on full blast for some reason or another.
The only thing that remains is deciding whether to add the alarm or go with Lo Jac.
Ah, light at the end of the tunnel.

.. which leads me to another suggestion that everyone out there keep an eye on your 'S' intercooler bolts. They get loose. You don't want to lose them, because then your intercooler mounts will break, and you'll start hearing funny noises. I've got to get the car to the dealership and explain what's wrong, because they'll never be able to replicate the problem. I LOVE my mini tuner, but this is a warranty issue, sadly. I'm worried about the confrontation since my car's obviously been in a front-end collision. It didn't cause the problem, but we'll see if they believe me.
The Caribbean Highway docked at 11:30pm last night, work started at 8:00am this morning 22nd March...Off to the VDC Merlin goes...then to MCM, bits put on. So Merlin should be ready for when I come back from NYC(work car stuff) on the 4th April
...........I hope
Merlin's on his way to the Vehicle Detention Center!
Last time Maximusmini checked (about 10 seconds ago, right?) the Elektra is docking in SC on Thursday. We're meeting for tea and crumpets to celebrate the landing
I feel kinda BLEUGH lately. I think it's the season affect disorder kicking in. Today I saw the sun and smiled - it was good. I REALLY can't wait to totally F*ing detail out MM2; having a dirty MINI is sad times

And I can't wait to detail my car. The poor dear looks SO sad and abused.
Sporting new clutch and flywheel at 30k miles... Nothing wrong with them except that they could have been a cause of the noise. I can't complain...
... except I've lost ANOTHER set of the interior door reflectors. What's up with THAT?
So I just checked the Owners Lounge ... Scheduled For Production!!! Called ASK MINI, automated system says it should be completed by April 8th.
I don't know how I'm going to be able to make it through the next month!
Anyone else finishing around the same time going to the West Coast?

sweet - Mom's MCSc will be at Classic MINI by weekend!
But Maximusmini's Vader won't get there for another few days - so the MINI-roadtrip there probably won't happen until next weekend! GAAA! more waiting!

Almost Here!
WooHoo!!! Samantha FINALLY made it to the States... (stupid untrackable NYK ships!) and she is chilling at the port enjoying the nice weather and waiting to get to the VDC... My MA says I should have her next week!!! (around 10 April!) WooHoo!!!

My mom's cabrio is all stealthy and just slipped on by.
So my Vader happens to be lesbian? Wow, now thats a revelation!
The official name for her is Kitt Vader (Kitt from Knight Ryder) but i thought it would add a feminine touch to the name to clear up all the confusion. I knew she was gonna be a BAD girl.

Anyway, it's time for inspections and the brake fluid change for us CWFAC 03 members. I bet someone out there changed the fluid in the first 3 months.
Happy Spring!

That's awesome to know that Vader [aka Miss Kitt] is a lesbian. Her and Maximusmini can go "hunting" for women together, LOL
just got home from the dealership!!!
Samantha came in 2 days EARLY!!! WOOHOO!!! I got to give her lots of hugs and sit inside of her... WOOHOO!!! Tuesday will not come fast enough! YEA!
Do all the East coast MINI's go to a VDC in Charleston? I see the Resolve stops in three ports.

Do they unload MINI's in New York?
Not that I am thinking about this much.
