R50/53 THE APRIL CLUB
And another one..
Hello All,
Just bit the bullet, and joined the (mid)-April Club! Mike at Classic MINI sez mid-April for my build.
CR/B, Bonnet Stripes, Sports Package, LSD, Sunroof, CR Dash, Chrono Pack (cheapest route to an OBC), Rear Fog Lights, and
(drum roll please!)
2005 John Cooper Works Tuning Kit! Honestly, JCW sticker shock is why I've gone with simply the "sportiest" options out there. Sure, the Sunroof weighs 63 pounds, but it's too damn cool to have some 60% of the roof feeding sunlight to the interior on a good day. Although I will tint that, without a doubt.
Now, time to find a buyer for the Pathfinder, and finance my JCW/reduce my exposure with my car loan.
Anybody in the market for 17" Performance Run-Flats? I"ll be drop-shipping decent tires to Classic MINI, hopefully, and not cover a single inch on Run-Flats, if I can help it.
Cheers,
Matthew Z.

Welcome to the April Club Matthew!
Nice color choice...CR/B is tasty! My Burnie is an'03 CR/B MCS with a driver's edge stripe from Cooper Flags, a few mods done, and more coming...
Wish that LSD had been an option back in the day, oh well...
Cheers,
chef richie

Welcome Matthew.
Cheffie's got the CR/B color combo right. Red IS the fastest color
Windmeup, I'm an April Clubber for the same reasons also. Got my Mini of April 11, B-day is April 13.
I'm hitting the track tomorrow. 1st track day of 2005 for me. I can hardly concentrate on work today I am so stoked.

Aren't we missing a newbie April Clubber???
Seems like we should've heard from Mama Ryephile by now...right?
I sorta thought she would be tracking all the April '05 builds and keeping the list
isn't that sort of thing genetic?
Cheers all!

Mama Ryephile isn't too e-savy
Nevertheless, her MCSc and Maximusmini's MCS are starting production next week!
(they're both slotted at Classic MINI for 1st week March production, yay!)
Welcome to the April Club futurequeen, WindMeUp,and Matthewz

YAY, my mom's MCSc now has a VIN# and is Scheduled for Production!
Strange VIN ID - the last 7 being TF83613. I guess "F" is the letter for the MCSc. I wonder what the letters are for the MCc and MCc CVT?
Oh yea, in other news: I hope you all have seen my latest endeavor being announced on the home page; Detroit Tuned is now a NAM sponsor!
Cheers,
still-the-same Ryan

It warms my heart to see the new members of the Club!
Still truckin' over here... the roads aren't roads anymore; I've got more flat spots on my winter steelies than I want to confess to
Took my car to Tim O'Neil's rally school in NH and had a BLAST! Took lots and lots of pics, but I'm not sure if I should torture y'all with them. Surely you know what a Mini looks like on a (mud/ice) skidpad!
Just over 30k miles and still smiling... 6 weeks to our first track event of 2005. New Hampshire International.. not my favorite track, but it'll be good for me to get my nerves worked out early on.

okay! don't say I didn't warn you! A good number of pics at My Friend's Site . Some highlights (and no, my car has NEVER been that dirty in its life!):
yes, the Mini really is this sideways.. it's just not fun unless it is!

Wintertime Autocross!?
Wow Rachel - you're car sits nice, what suspension setup do you have?
Oh yea, it's a bit dirty, but don't worry, even MM2 gets dirty in the winter here, lol
Cheers,
Ryan
