How accurate is tracking on MINIUSA and delivery questions
Its been a month and Im getting anxious. Checked MINIUSA and the status of my car is "On Order". Last week (Tuesday) my dealer sent me an email saying the status of my car is no longer 111 (On Order?) but now 112 (scheduled for production). He says car should be built by the end of this week!
So what gives with MINIUSA for tracking? Has anyone encountered the same issues with a different status between what the dealer is saying and the web site?
Alas, the dealer also said after the car is built it should take another 4-5 weeks for delivery! Ouch!

The web site is a week+ slow. You have to call ask-mini and go through the automated system for an update. By the time it says scheduled for production on the web, it's already done waiting for a ship.
Not so accurate
I placed my order for an MCS on 12 Feb; eight weeks to the day I took delivery.
I tried to track it through their system, but the Owner's Lounge site is about 4-7 days behind. The automated information at 1-866-ASKMINI is pretty good. If you talk to a person, you can get even more information.
I also e-mailed my MA and he had some information that I did not see elsewhere. He told me on March 10 that I should be able to get the car on April 11 (actually arrived April 4 and I took delivery on April 9.)
My advice is not to be shy about getting information. You're paying good money and the "waiting game" is not fun. At least you can know what's happening and "ease your pain."

My dealer told me my MINI would be produced on 4/13 (wednesday) and acording to the Owners Lounge web site it was "right on", (prior to that dste it had been "Scheduled for Production") then on Saturday it said it was "on the boat" so.... I'd say it was very accurate. (at least for me).

...from the day I got my production number (mini was already scheduled for production) to the day that it moved to awaiting transport was 14 days exactly.
From this thread. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=38550
It was then awaiting transport for 3 days.
It is on a boat for 11 days...(s.c. on tuesday
)And after that I dont have any timelines....
I placed my order 4/11, got a production number the next day, and for the past week it's been scheduled for production with no date. I finally called MiniUSA and spoke to a delightful young woman who said production would begin 5/2. A little slower than I'd hoped, but at least I have a start date.
