version 39 funky

Yeah, so, I take the MCS in for a TON of warranty repairs a couple weeks back (two of which they didn't fix ) including the service engine light being on. It was at v37, they installed v39 and now other things are funky.

Man, we can send a man to the moon but ...

What he means is that back in 1969 we send men to the moon. What he is also implying is that his dealer was not part of that particular NASA effort.

I didn't like v39 that much either.

Specifically, I don't like the way the electric throttle body is controlled. Initial tip-in sucks if it's gradual. I'd love it if the throttle was just proportional, I think I know where I want the gas pedal!

MTH made it better, but not as good as pre-39. But then, I didn't see if he could specifically program it.

Monkey Boy there is a thread in the Under the bonnet section with things to do to reset your programming. Basically when it is first driven with the new software it needs to be driven like it was stolen. Failure on the part of the dealer or you leads to the need to reset your software. The steps are spelled out in one of the threads. I am not making this up! Go read the thread. I am taking my 03 S in Friday and I have printed out the instructions given there! Sounds like you need to too!

v40 is out and in my car. The car ran very well on the original v before they "upgraded me to v39. v40 is an improvement over 39 but I remember my car was better before v39. which way to the moon?
