Just found out about my MC! Dont know how long it has been waiting at the ports, but it has been a canceled order that we "adopted" before it was sent up the north coast. Im pretty sure it is waiting at the port, or the stage after that. Any one know how long it will take to get to get to birmingham, al?
Edit: never mind.....i read the above post

I have the shipping manifest for CARMEN, which is scheduled to leave Southampton tonight at 1 am GMT. There are 200 cars on the list, so if you have the VIN, I can confirm its status on the manifest.
If you prefer, I can send you the manifest if you provide me with your email address.

sorry, I meant it has already arrived in the states and awaiting transport to the dealer. I was wondering after you have picked it up, is there any way to find out its build history, (dates, etc).
I think the best way is to follow the W&W web site. Because of tight harbor schedules - for loading and unloading - that should be fairly timely information.
This morning, I found a web site that tracked ships based on their voluntary reporting of weather and sea conditions to the Coast Guard (or merchant marines, or some other governmental group). The plot didn't show every ship that was out there, but a good number. I can send you a link tomorrow morning from my computer at work (as if any work is getting done lately).
The Southampton harbormaster website also has ship tracking out to the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. That's just baby steps from the starting point, but save for storms (and this isn't the season), delays would likely come at either end of the journey.
Then again, you (and I) may just want to relax. It'll get here.
Hope this helps.

Now most people say that the Owner's lounge is slow and ASK MINI is more up to date. Well when I call the automated system it tells me this today:
"Your car Is at the port and awaiting a shipping vessel. There is no shipping information available at this time"
When I know the ship its on should be in port (in the US) yesterday or today.
I'll live and be calm.....
