Any other Baron's, KC waiting for their mini?
I called my salesman "Gabe" yesterday and he said that my mini will be at the VDC for 2 days, then on a truck for 3 days and then the dealer will need 2 days with her. She is got unloaded this afternoon at Charleston, SC. But he still could not give me a set date next week to pick her up. I tried explaining that I travel with my job and I live 4 hours from the dealer. He still would not commit to a day next week. Now my husband came home tonight from work to tell me he has to be out of town for his job Monday until Thursday night. So I sure hope my mini will be ready for pick up next Friday. Is this the normal course of action? Is there anyone else expecting a mini from Baron's soon? He also said that the VDC works 24/7 is that right? I thought I read that they just work Monday to Friday days.

Cause you know after all my posts and bothering I have to come out with a whole book on my car.
Alright its official. Pickup @ 3pm EST
Although due to shipping problems my wheels aren't in, my body kit is scheduled for monday and my alarm is delayed due to dealer BS. So I will drive away with 3 IOUs. Aero Kit, Wheels and alarm. All scheduled for install monday. I want the car today because well I want it.
I'm off work on Monday and will have a loaner for the day while they make the appropriate additions to the car.

How do I verify that my car is in fact on the boat?
I checked Wallenius. I was booked on the BOHEME. According to the Wallenius site it has left England. How do I verify that I am on the boat? I looked at all the other VINs on the Booking Number and all the cars have status RECEIEVED AT THE TERMINAL. So does this mean my new car is in fact on the BOHEME? I'm holding off on opening the bubbly until Im sure. The vin of my car is: WMWRH33505TF84575
Also, wasn't there a site that you can view the ships location on the Atlantic. I'm not saying I don't have a life or anything. Or am I???

Servicing the MINI Jones
Send me your email by PM and I can send you a copy of the manifest for BOHEME. I searched the list and your VIN is on there.
I share your alternating excitement/horror with the obsession of MINI tracking. You can follow the ship at sea on www.sailwx.info,
You can go over the top and watch Southampton harbor shipping movements (by harbormaster's schedule or by live radar) at http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/com/smovements.htm
If you're totally obsessed, and the weather is good, you can actually see the W&W ship unloading (albiet in the distance) by using the webcam on the Empire State Building to look at the Statue of Liberty and looking past lady liberty and to the right a bit. The W&W ships are green & white and look like a shoebox (as someone on here put it).
Feed that MINI obsession... just try to get a little work done!

I sent you a PM. Thanks so much. I should really be working.
I'm actually in North NJ perhaps 20 miles from the port. I can always drive to Battery Park and bring my binoculars to check for the boat! Then again, since 9/11 there are cops all over the place and I might be stopped...

The BOHEME is currently scheduled to leave Southampton at 20:00 GMT (8 pm GMT, which translates to 4 pm ET during the summer months). In an hour and a half, your MCS will be in the Southampton shipping harbor.

rsunisco,
You are loaded on vessel.
I on the other hand have not been.
There were 200 VINs booked on the BOHEME.
Only half of them show "loaded on vessel".
My MINI has been "received at terminal" since 5/14.

I feel so bad that you were not loaded! My car was built on 5/13 and on 5/14 was sent to the port...
Sorry amigo!

You need to go here http://cgmix.uscg.mil/psix/PSIX2/VesselSearch.asp and type in the vessels name of the ship you are on. That will give you the call sign!
Have fun and enjoy. Carmen is on its way every shortly!!!

Is it just me or is the carmen loction not updated? I looked at www.sailwx.com and the last time it was updated was 1200. Where is the 1800 update? I then looked at www.oceanweather.com and i can not even find it on the map! Anyone want to verify this?
