Mine did. I had Geico send them a proof of insurance card and binder via email in a .pdf file. In yesterday's mail, however, was a card from Geico telling me my VIN was incorrect. It wasn't. As it turned out, the car was so new the VIN hadn't yet made it into the DOT database! All set now.

dcmitchell which dealer are you dealing with? If its Towson or Tate MINI in MD then the car will only take about a day from the VDC to the dealer. Contact your MA for sure.

I am located in NJ and I would expect my car would not take long at all from the VDC as its located in NJ.

With my first MINI the car arrived at the VDC Saturday and I picked up from the dealer the following Monday (afternoon). It helps the dealer is in Northern NJ and the port is in Newark.

Extended Warranty

For $720 is that an extended maintenance? I just called my dealer and was told that an extended maintenance warranty for 4yrs/50,000 is $400.00 and a extended warranty 6yrs/100,000 was $3,500. I don't understand how it can be so cheap. I have a call into my American Family agent now.

The maintenance warranty will pay for everything to be fixed. Regular things like brakes, oil changes, etc. The other warranty is for major things like engines or rag top replacement for unusual wear.

If you folks are tracking the BOHEME. We're off the coast of Newfoundland!

O Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix...

My bad. What I heard from the customer rep over the phone differs from the brochure I got in the mail today. It is NOT an extended maintenance program, just 7yrs/100,000 miles of mechanical breakdown insurance. Routine maintenance is not included, but if anything breaks during that period they cover it minus a $250 deductable. Pete

Nope - my dealer is closed tomorrow and I have no word on when the car actually arrived or (hopefully) left the VPC. I should know more Tuesday...

My car was unloaded from the Boheme last Friday. My dealer was closed Memorial Day. I got a call first thing this morning (9am) and was told to come pick up my car today! After work.. I will be driving my new MINI home TONIGHT!
YAY! [Car was at the dealership Saturday but I was back in Montreal]

UPDATE: Day 1 - today. 100 miles. Awesome. I did noticed that with the top down if you hit a bump there was more squeaking (convertible) but other than that... tight and solid. I love the light on the door handles and under the rear view mirror. Nice touches!

Finally! My car should arrive tomorrow morning at the dealer and I'll pick it up first thing Saturday morning. From being pulled off a ship and waiting at the docks another 9 days to this damn holiday weekend messing up everything... I've about had it with delays

I hope to take delivery this week... another victim of the dreaded Memorial day delay. I guess this officially bumps me to the June thread.

Preparing to motor,

Cary

So how is the ride on the 18" JCW wheels with the run flats? I have the 17" R99s and the ride isn't bad but I had aftermarket 18s on my MC and the ride was harsh.
