The ride really isn't too much different than what I had with 17" wheels on my MC for three years. You can feel a bit more of the road but it definitely feels sharper in the corners. It's really a nice improvement.

MCS Found!

Not that it was ever lost, mind you , but I finally got the long-awaited call from my MA saying that my MCS has arrived at the dealership. I will give them a day (Wednesday) to peel off all the plastic and do all the final prep work, then pick up the car at MINI of Sterling on Thursday.

Hopefully, my wife's rehearsal schedule will allow her to take me out to Sterling on Thursday afternoon... if not, I may put out a call to the DC MINI community to see if anyone happens to be headed out to Sterling (I'm in Foggy Bottom / Georgetown area). Otherwise, it looks like it will be "planes, trains and automobiles" to get there (i.e., metro to West Falls Church, Washington Flyer to Dulles, then shuttle to MINI of Sterling).

There has to be an easier way to get out to Sterling. Any other ideas?

cary

Man I am so happy for you! Too bad I'm not in your neck of the woods else I would have offered to drive you out to Sterling. Post pics of your new ride soon! Good luck!

You're very close. They're actually from Wilmette which is just north of Evanston (where I live).
