Cooper TOTALLY VIOLATED, part 2!

Ok, so as most of you know my poor MCS was blasted by a man hole cover in Manhattan back in January. Just in case you didn't see the original thread here is the link.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=36953
So I get the car back a few days ago and everything looked good. Pulled out of Mini of Manhattan and head to work. About 15 minutes into my trip I noticed something just wasn't right. I figured it was just the horrible streets of Manhattan and would give it the test once I got to the L.I.E. So I hit the open highway, give'er the shift, and hear that wonderful "Tap" as my foot hits the floor. Surprisingly only a slight pull to the left and I was off. I figured the slight pulling is just an alignment problem and would be calling them back when I get to work. Then it started to happen, lights started to pop up all over the dash, door ajar light, check tire pressure light, check filler cap light, gas gauge drops completely, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT, this is not good! The interior light is going on and off. What the heck is going on here.
Against my better judgment I drive on to work. I immediately get them on the phone. "What the Hell did you guys do to my car and why isn't it fixed??!!" He says "Uuugghhh...we checked everything out and it looked good." Sorry partner everything ain't looking too good right now. Slammed down the phone and called Habberstad Mini(where I bought it) and explained the problem to them. It is now in their hands and I am supposed to hear something back today.
Kinda a long read I know, but there is more, hang with me here.

So last night my wife and I are lucky enough to win tickets to the David Letterman show. They are asking everyone before the show if you have any cool stories, stupid human/pet tricks, have you ever been on the news, yada, yada.... I say well my car was on the news a few weeks ago. I filled out a small form about my story and some contact info. They call me last night at 9PM and It turns out they want me to come back to the show tonight and tell my story on TV!!
CRAZY!!
The only problem is I took off work yesterday to see the dang show, so I don't know if I am going to be able to make it back tonight. If not tonight then they said another Thursday in the near future will do, I will keep you guys posted!

Thats awsome that you got on the show to tell your story! But it also sucks about your car though, good luck with that.

Sweeeeeet! Why don't you suggest that you re-enact the trauma to your MINI by setting off a small explosive underneath behind the studio. "Stupid Car Tricks"...then he can get you a new one!

I'd be willing to TIVO it. I can't keep my eyes open late these days. I'm getting *SO* old.

Anyhoo --- the story sucks and sorry that it isn't right yet. Keep us posted.

Just mention the shop who worked on your car on TV and I'd bet they get everything fixed up correctly this time

Hey maybe when you're there, Letterman will pull an Opera and get the whole audience their very own MINI along with a new one for you. There seems to be a little feud between them two. But in this case, anything Opera can do, Letterman can do better, 'cause there'd be MINIs involved instead of G6s.
Cheerio,
