Bargain $500 Mini - Quick Injector Question

A quick injector question;
I have a pulley, Borla [aggressive] exhaust and a CAI. I have 380CC injectors on the bench. Can they be installed prior to a tune without detrimental drivability effects?
I will be getting a tune eventually and I realize I won't be getting full benefit of the injectors, but is there a downside of installing them prior to?

After reading a ton of injector posts it looks like;
Yes, 380cc injectors can be installed prior to a tune. It will start fine and run fine at lower RPM, but at higher RPM, may run a little rich with the possibility of some power loss.

That sound about right?
If so, as the Bargain Mini runs so good now, I may hold off until I do the tune.

Based on my research for my car, you are correct. The 380s may be used on the stock tune, but they will be slightly rich.

Like yourself, mine runs well on the stock injectors with my normal mods plus a header. I just haven't seen the need for larger injectors at this time.

Correct, 380's can be run without a tune, no issues at all.
As far as running rich, probably not, remember injector duty cycle is calculated and utilized on a % scale.
The reason the 380's can be run without a tune is the the ECU can compensate for the extra fuel by pulling some % of duty cycle to not cause a rich condition.
But...
Anything more than 390-400cc's is beyond the compensation point in the ECU with the OEM tune.

I had the car on a dyno about a year ago. Best of 3 was 176 Ft lbs torque and 163.8 H.P.
Pretty much what I was expecting with 165k miles, a 15% pulley, a CAI, and Borla exhaust. The tech said there seemed to be a bit of a delay building power and his gut feeling was an issue with the Bypass valve. I installed a Detroit Tuned Valve tonight which although it doesn't generate additional HP, should improve response and "seat of the pants" starting off.
Also new intercooler boots as mine had dryrot cracks.

Waiting on a new[OEM] air hose as that also had cracks. I do want to get a tune but to be honest as I'm so not skilled with computers, [old guy syndrome] I'm going to need to recruit some help for that.
Speaking of tunes, what, [other than the obvious of maximizing HP] do folks normally get done?

I was thinking of raising the redline to 7k and having the traction control default to off, as opposed to on.

Anything else I should think about?
Thanks,
robj

It is not recommended to go with 380cc without modified file. Excess petrol can wash the oil film from the cylinders, which leads to a rapid wear of the pistons rings.Also less power at WOT and black smoke.
