Which injectors with these mods?

I have an 02 MCS with a CAI, exhaust, and 15% pulley. Shortly I'll be installing an RMW cam and then a Jan tune. I don't envision any more engine mods and don't spend much time at redline nor do I track my car. Which injectors will be best for my setup, 380 or 440?

I would get the 440, same price, and you don't have to regret it in the future if you do more. The only downside is you have to get the personalized tune when you put in the 440s. The 380s are plug and play.

+1 I installed a set of Jan's 450 cc injectors just before he tuned my car and OT runs great. Order tge injectors and install them at the tune location. I never drove my car with the new injectors before the tune but I've heard it will run like crap without a tune. You will be fine with these injectors for all the mods you have planned.

Yeah, 440's or larger for sure.

But the 380's while they do provide some better drive-abiltiy for the MCS, but they will not fire at the proper pulse rate until a proper tune or JCW flash of your DME.

I ran mods with my 380s' for almost 2 years ejoying the added benefit of more power at WOT and in the upper speeds, idle was smoother and had quicker start ups. But it was not until after I had the JCW software loaded in few months back at my MINI dealer did I experience what I was missing

When going up through the gears before, it felt more like the engine was pushing the MINI. Now for each gear upshift it feels like the MINI is being yanked hard on a tow harness by a monster truck !

Exhaust sounds totally different too, even at idle......

But with those anticipated mods a set of 380s' will not keep up.

most people just say go for the biggest you can get (to an extent), that most likely being 550cc. That's what i plan to go for before getting a tune.

thanks

With a cam, you def need to go big....the 380's are a pretty small increase...good for a puppy/tune, but a cam can make much more power....so more fuel is needed.
Check with jan/rmw
He was having good luck with some 550's I think that may of had the right spraypattern.

Jan actually responded back that based on my mods the 380's would be fine.
