The Faust has sailed....according to the schedule she will arrive in Charleston on 2/13.

DON'T PANIC!!! It took the WW site 4 days to show that my MINI came off the boat, 2 more days after that for ASKMINI to show that it had been received, and 4 more days after that before it made it to the VPC...

Please post if your status changes. I just checked and I'm still "booked" but the boat has left! I sure hope we weren't left behind! The next boat to NY isn't leaving until 2/5! That's too long to wait.

At least your MINI has mates on the ship... I don't know of anyone else on the Tai Shan. I don't think it exists....

If you are confident that your Mini was supposed to be dropped in New York, not to worry. Mine does not show unloaded either but was dropped off on 1/29.

A quick call to ASKMINI this morning allayed any fears I had. My Mini is sitting in the VPC in New York awaiting clearance before being loaded on a truck. I was told to check back tomorrow to see if my Mini shot through the VPC and is on its way to me in the Midwest. I was told it may take up to 2 weeks but I can't help but feel optimistic.

I hope ASKMINI gives you some good news, too, Skvarcius.

And I do hope my MINI was unloaded in New York - the drive to Boston is much shorter from there than from Charleston!

I'm heading to my dealer tonight to secure my financing. Looks like I should have my baby by the end of the weekend. They have to instaill my bonnet stripes at the dealer (for some reason, bonnet stripes are not factory installed on MC's).
As far as the NAV goes, I've been hearing that '03 US spec cars have an Americanized woman's voice, and the alternative language option is Spanish (unlike UK spec's which have German as the alternate, and Canadian spec's which have French). Guess I'll have to wait and see for sure!

I think that friend might be me. Took delivery of my MINI last night, the only language choices are US English and Spanish.....

It is final, isn't it. But everytime I see a MINI, I think it's the best color combo yet! Yesterday I saw an all Chili Red...Wow!!! It was HOT! Just down the street from me is a PW/B...I love, love that...it's so classy looking. Then the IB with either black or white...I always love it!

The OL says estimated delivery 1/31!!!! I hope to take delivery next weekend maybe!

Nice! BRG/W is a great combo - I've never seen that combo around here. You'll be so excited when you see your baby for the first time!!

I know what you mean though, every one I see is cool and it makes me think, "Why didn't I get that color?" I haven't spotted a MINI yet that I didn't like.

You guys were right ... WW says my new GMINI was unloaded "29/01/2003 21:30" so I guess it is in VPC :smile:

I'll be picking her up in Portland, OR. I found out just now that she's likely to be in Portland by 2/11 and ready by the 15th or so. Hey, just in case your wondering or haven't heard, your car is likely on the "Jupiter Diamond" cargo vessel. Perhaps our cars have met!

The W&W site just updated info on my Mini. It was discharged as of 9:30 PM last night.

It will be a long wait until tomorrow afternoon when I call ASKMINI to see if my Mini is through the VPC. I think the official theme song of the Can't Wait for February Club should be Anticipation from Rocky Horror.

I've been posting a lot today - and I'm sure everyone's tired of it but I had to share this. I didn't get a lot of work accomplished today and I went to the MINI site and finally watched the Oxford tour time lapse video. I don't know what the heck it was, but I almost started crying as I watched the cars take shape. I told my hubby and he just looked at me in disbelief. He is beginning to think that I'm leaving him for a car....

Anyway, did anyone else get emotional as they watched this? Or am I simply a freak?

 

UPDATE!
I went into Lauderdale MINI tonight to square away my financing, when much to my chagrin, my Motoring Advisor told me that my MINI arrived TODAY! I'll post my pics first thing on Saturday morning!!!

I have an UPDATE also......

My MINI was off loaded from the Hercules Leader last night at 6:24pm.

I called MINIUSA this morning no update, they told me to call back later. Called MINIUSA at 2:30pst. New update, My MINI is at the VPC and the work order has been printed.

It looks like "Tigger" is tired of the boat and ready to start hopping.....
