R50/53 The "Can't Wait for Feburary Club" arrives!
>>Sales manager at the dealer (MINI of Peabody) called and said I can expect delivery in the Feb 9 - 12 range (just in time for a Valentine's Day drive with my wife). One interesting point, though, I have a new sales person. Apparantly Ron is no longer with Peabody sosomebody else will be delivering the car...
Ron was my salesman as well. I'm now set up with Joel. Wonder what happened with Ron... I liked him. I asked someone at the dealer but couldnt get any details....
Did you opt for Lojak or the Roadblock 3M bra? I told them to go ahead and install the roadblock product. I found some positive comments on it around the net. Also, their website looked good: http://www.autobahndint.com
Why not...

I noticed Joel was moved last week, maybe that is why. He has been my sales contact since day 1, and is also excellent.
I have Autobahnd on my current Black MC and I do *NOT* plan to put it on my new MCS; the edge on the bonnet collects wax too easily and shows as an off white line running across the length of the bonnet - really noticeable on dark colors. A number of people have commented on the "scratch".
So how many of the CWFFC are MINI Peabody customers?

This car is AMAZING!!!!
I picked up my baby, Wendolene, at Lauderdale MINI 6pm last night. As I pulled up to the dealer, I saw her... She we sitting in the showroom, with a huge red bow on top. I felt like I was about to cry.
As I walked in, I was greeted by my Motoring Advisor, Andy and the Sales Manager, Bonnie. They both come over and said "Congratulations" patted me on the back, and handed me my keys. I never thought this day would come!
I was amazed at how people looked at me. Everyone smiled, a few even waved! I ran into a PS/B MCS with bonnet stripes on Federal Highway and the two guys inside sped up to get next to me, gave me the thumbs-up, and waved. I of course smiled and waved back!
What an experience. I'm heading out for a photo shoot with my baby now, should have some pics posted in a couple of hours!
Thanks again for all of your support over the last 6 months, I wouldn't have made it without you all!
I'll still be a regular here at Club Feb, and hopefully, I'll be able to provide some answers now, instead of asking the questions!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Tony

Rumini and Sparkles,
First sightings of the Falstaff have been made. Lat 49.3 N, Long 7.6 W! I haven't been able to pull up a map of the location yet, however.
Vespa and KGladstone,
I may make a dry run out to the docks to find the Tai Shan. It should arrive in NJ tomorrow. If I get any pictures, I'll be sure to post. If you get any indication that the ship has come in, please post!
TonyMcGuire,
CONGRATULATIONS! You lucky dog, you.

The keepers of the lock emailed me. I requested them to let me know when it was going to be at the lock. Got the email just before it arrived.

The OL finallys shows a delivery date of 2/4/03. I must say the off load from the Hercules Leader, inspection at the VPC, assign to carrier and ship to dealer was very fast. I arrived at 6pm on Wednesday, and Friday morning, Tigger was already in transit. The dealer thinks it is possible that my MINI could be unloaded at the dealer sometime today.
But with my planned trip I will still pickup Tigger on the 14th. At least I know where he is, and he is safe.

WACTUARY, OH WACTUARY, You're our hero . . . Thanks for finding the longitute and latitude! Any luck trying to make the global positioning site match those details. I'll try too and watch for any news from you. Ciao.
Where, oh where, is the Falstaff now? Hi RUMINI, any news to report?

Thanks for posting the pics! How beautiful!! Congratulations! I love the pepper white - if they had offered that for the S, I'd have gotten it. I'm sure you're out there motoring right now, I know I'd be!
Enjoy!!!

Tony,
Congrats! Love the NAV syustem. I was talked out of that expense and settled for a Gramin GPS. Time will tell if that was a good call. Keep us (CWFFCers) updated on the NAVs operation.

Helloooooo!! Long time lurker but, I cannot contain my enthusiam any longer. (Though I really, really really tried!!!!). My MINI also is enroute on the FALSTAFF. The coordinates are easily obtained at the Accuweather site and places the FALSTAFF just entering into the deep water of the Atlantic, just south of Ireland. The anticipation is truly amazing and the members of the MINI community are as well. I have garnered loads of information and the enthusiasm of this club is infectious. I have enjoyed and will continue to enjjoy the comments of all da MINI pals.
Hope all of your MINIs are home safe and sound soon!!!

Welcome to tlblake -- finally you jumped in and made the commitment!! You join a classy group of people, kind, interesting, funny and crazy (all at the same time.)
Most importantly, you join Wactuary, RUMINI and Sparkles as we wait for smooth passage for the FALSTAFF --- and now we are 4. If you have been reading, it will be really important to up-to-the-minute tracking details because Wactuary has taken next Friday off, hoping that that will be docking/unloading day in NY/NJ, and we are so excited with and for him (and for ourselves, especially if he is able to report good news or post pics.)
What's the name of your car? Is it MiniTee? You may live about 5 miles from where BVLGARI will reign sparkling and supreme! Northern Virginia.
Any one else out there aboard the FALSTAFF?

Tony-
Congrats from me as well! I just spoke to a friend of mine in Lauderdale, and he annoyed me with the weather report (75, sunny, he was gardening) and seeing your pics I'm purple with envy. When I pick up my baby on Monday afternoon in Hartford, CT, it will be in the 40's with rain
- but I'll have a great time anyway!!
Motor on!!

Hi Wactuary!
Thanks for the generous offer. Unfortunately, I can't even find the call sign for the Tai Shan. I have no way of knowing where it us until I check the WW site. Thanks for thinking of us, though!!!
Today is an interesting day - cleaning out my current car. Might be a bit premature but it's in the 50s today and I'm not sure when I'm going to get another chance. Thinking of all the Club Feb's that are out there motoring already... what fun it must be! I'm excited for all of our progress - we're getting there!!! WAY TO GO CLUB FEB!!
